Hey guys tell me something, what gift did you give your mom with your first salary. I know everybody would love to give some gifts to our parents (or atleast to our mom) with our first salary. What did you give. I gave my mom a silk saree with my first salary.

I bought her an expensive parfume but i really spend a lot because nothing left for me. But was crazy about it. Even if she asked me to do not repeat that because she hates to see me spending money for her. Anyway, no matter what u buy them, mothers are always satisfied, even if u buy them just a flower.

you are right. Even I spent 3/4th of my salary for buying that saree and my mother hates to spend and especially from my pocket. As you said, mothers get satisfied with a flower or a kiss.

I am answering as a Mother....and this computer that I am now on was the gift that my son gave me! He gave it to me, Christmas, two years ago! I had never had one, never been on the Internet, etc., along with it he gave me a video camera and mic for the computer, so we can have "on line" chats, often! I still, after 2 years, have a great deal to learn, like; cut & paste! But, it is a gift, that everytime I sit down to the computer, I think of him....and thank him, for opening my world-up! Good question! Cheers!

Congratulations on your gift. I can understand how you feel. My mom used to tell me the same thing whenever she wears that saree. Today I am a mom and i know how you feel

Thank you, m'dear, for the best response....and a great big "congratulations" for being a Mother! I think that is the greatest gift that we can be given, our children.....and yes, I do spoil my son, everytime I can, that is my right, and my priviledge as a Mother! Something no-one can take away from us! Even tho' he will be 30 in December, he lives in another city, and he calls me every morning @ 6:45 a.m.! We can sit & talk for hours, about this, that and nothing! My philosophy was always "to give him wings...but be a soft place for him to land!" Have spectacular weekend, Mommy! Cheers!

I have been working since I was 11 so I do not remember that long ago. I supported her for 13 years and continue to buy her items she needs now that she is in a home.
