Do you have them? HAd any problems while they grew?
One of mine is growing for ages already..and I mean ages. Every december it starts to grow and then it hurts like hell. It's starting already so i guess this december isnt going to be different then last two were.
My dentist said I could get it removed, but I have a thing against cutting me. I dont like it LOL Never had a surgery in my life and Im planing to keep it that way, so if that means I'm going to be in pain every december till the darn thing grows then be it.

I don't have mine anymore. I had them taken out surgically when I was 16. They were growing in the wrong way, so they were pushing towards my other teeth instead of upward/downward like they were supposed to grow. It was painful to have them cut out, but it really wasn't that bad until I got a dry socket where one of the teeth was removed (very painful, let me tell you). Before the dry socket developed, I was able to eat Thanksgiving dinner 2 days after I had them out. I'm glad I had them removed when I did.

Well they never let them grow in because they were impacted. If they had grown in, it would have been extremely painful and it would have shoved my already crowded teeth towards the front of my mouth. The dentist could see how they were pointed in an xray and decided that we should have them removed surgically before they could even have a chance to grow.

I only have my top wisdom teeth. The bottom two just never developed at all. While this seems like good news for now, I will need to have the top ones out at some point. Since there are none on the bottom, nothing will stop the top ones from growing and they are going to grow right into my bottom gums (ouch)!

You dont bite your inner cheek? I used to do that when I only had my top ones. Ive bruised my inner cheek, when I was either eating or talking I just bit myself..it hurt lol. One of my friend had to take it out because she also bitten herself...luckily my bottom one grew so that stopped.
Yeah...ouch...I know what you mean

Right now only the left one is really coming in. It hurt a lot at first, but not anymore. When they get bigger then I will have to worry.

My first upper wisdom tooth came through in my early thirties. I remember the pain and soreness. Luckily I had enough room for it and my dentist said all my other wisdom teeth were dormant at that time. Disappointingly my other upper wisdom tooth began to come through about a year or more ago. One day it is sore and the next day I have no pain. Then for days it gets sore and I feel sad about the pain. I am now with a different dentist in my new area. He says he could remove it but I say no thanks. I don't want surgery in my life either. I worry there isn't space for it in my mouth. I will hope for the best. Good luck to you with you wisdom tooth.

I dont understand why it hurts...no other teeth hurts when growing. When my top one started to grow, I didint even consider it could be that, didnt even think of it, I just felt pain and was always at my dentist complaining there must be something wrong with one of my tooth as it hurts so often. He didnt see anything as it still wasnt out and all my other teeth were ok. So he x-rayed my jaw and we've seen that its growing.
The funny thing was that we also found out I still have one of my first tooth...a baby tooth hehehe How many 34y can say that?
About the pain, I dont think it hurts because there isnt enough room for it, it just hurts when its growing and it does come and go.
Good luck with yours too!

hi friend,
it comes very rarely to me.Once in a while i get them.Recently last year back i got one wisdom which pained me very much.It is there for almost one month for which i am unable to concentrate on any of my work. But after showing this to doctor he gave me some painful medicine for which it went away.In this way i suffered a lot with it.It generally drags our attention in such a way that we can't even work happily. For god's sake it should not come again.
Have a nice day

i had my bottom ones removed bout two years ago i think..
didn't have any problems with them growing in...they actually weren't fully grown in yet but i didn't have enough room for them so i would have to have them pulled.
so i just went ahead and got it done. i wasn't sore or anything and healed really fast. I didn't even need pain killers and they did it as a simple pulling...
my top ones on the other hand are fully grown in and they are also going to have to be pulled at some point.. i guess i have room for them but i need to get them filled so my dentist said, you might as well get them pulled... i don't know though... we will see when that time comes.

I've never had any problems with mine at all. Most of my friends have had theirs out. Some went through it with no problem at all and were back on their feet in no time. One of my buddies was laid up for days though in pain. Hope it turns out well for you.

Oh, sore subject. No pun intended.
I removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth many years ago when I was 20. They were growing fast and in fear of them getting impacted, I just had it done in one fell swoop. I looked like a chipmunk for a month but there was really no pain that came with the swelling...until about a month and a half later when the right side of my jaw started getting sore again and swelled up. I had no idea what was happening but figured it was a result of removing my wisdom teeth. Before I could make it to the dentist (I was in college at the time and going to my dentist was not convenient - and please don't read this if you get grossed out easily) I had the swelling pop in my mouth. Out came a mouthful of puss...ewww. When I spit it out into the sink, I saw what looked like a tomato seed. It must have been lodged into the stitches and infected the opening of where I had that tooth taken out.
Sorry about the details

I already have 3 wisdom teeth. I have extracted one of my wisdom teeth, and yet to extract another one, and will leave another one with me.
The reason I gotta extract the wisdom teeth is because the dentist said the angle that the wisdom teeth growing is abnormal, it will eventually hit my other teeth, which will cause problem. When I extracted my wisdom tooth, it took me 2 hours to do the surgery, it was so painful! Until now, more than 6 years, I haven't dare to go and extract another abnormal one.
Your wisdom tooth only grows in December? Is it because of the winter or some other reason?

No, I had my wisdom teeth removed when I was a teenager. The dentist that I had told me that I should get them removed before they got too big as they would crowd my mouth and be painful. I was scared as hell. I never had a surgical procedure done before. But I didn't want to be in pain either. He told me I could get all 4 pulled at once (Yikes!) or he could pull them one at a time. I opted for one at a time. Even though this meant that I would have to back and get it done again 3 more times, I'm glad I did it this way. My husband had 5 (yep, I said 5) removed at once and he wished he would have done it one at a time, like I did.
It's not that bad really. The dentist numbs the area and you don't feel a thing.

Oh, It's not that bad having them removed and yes, I have had problems when my wisdom tooth grew, it became abscessed actually. I have already had 3 of my wisdom teethe out and a few of them were so weak they just popped out when my dentist slightly yanked on it. They will numb you and you won't feel a thing or they can knock you out with the laughing gas stuff, they never did use that on me, they just numbed me and it worked well enough and I didn't feel a thing, I just felt a bit of painless tugging then it was very quickly out and I was like " wow, was that it?".I really suggest having it removed before the Christmas because it could get worse and you will feel so much better within a few days after having it removed. I have major surgery in 8 weeks and I'm not looking forward to that and I would rather have all 3 wisdom teethe pulled out again at the moment then going in for surgery, ..yeah I'm really scared, but I have to do it..

I have the same experience too.My wisdom tooth has been growing for 2 years, and it hurts very much every 2 months. So in the past 2 years,i always see a doctor.Luckly now,it only hurts while i am excessive anxious. So you'd better take it easy, and maybe it doesn't hurt again.

Hi my friend! I do have them and I did get trouble with them. When they were growing my mandibula was paining all the time. Then I went to see the dentist to remove them. But he told me that there was nothing wrong with my wisdom tooth and he wouldn't help me to remove them. Oh my! That means I have to endure the pain forever?!!! But they were OK in three monthes. They suffering was stoped. And now they are all right. I have my healthy tooth~~~~
You said you will keep your suffering wisdom tooth that way,and the pain will get you every december. If that's your decision then do it. And if they are paining again in the coming december, come on here and let us share with you. The suffering is gonna be half if you let us to share with you.
