Have you ever been troubled by your mother-in-law

Hi, There are times when your mother-in-law may trouble you.. Things may not work if you talk ill about her to your partner.. So how do you tackle the situation when your partner stands by his mother... My mother-in-law hates someone entering her kitchen.. She wants to be cooking until she is alive.. So she doesnt allow me to cook anything other than making coffee.. If i raise it, my husband says, if you want something different, we can eat out... I just love cooking and this is really a pain for me.. How do I tackle this situation? Please provide me your suggestions and your experiences too.. experiences..
