So what do you guys think about it? Even since I saw the ad for it I have been checking it out. I never really had a blackberry but I'm tempted to try this out. My cell phone now has email, chat, games etc etc.. If you haven't seen it take a look at it. What are some pro's and con's about blackberries? Anyone else looking at this as much as I have? heh

I have blackberry pearl 8120 & I haven't seen storm yet... If I'm not mistaken, it's coming out for Verizon, isn't it? From what I've ready, storm is not that much different functionally other than 3.2 mp camera & touch screen... It's 3g so it's gonna be faster as far as internet hook ups & data transfers but if you're not too concerned about internet speed or one to take a lot of pictures, it's not that much different than having a regular blackberry, even a pearl... I've tried out 3g version of Iphone & few other touch screen phones from different service providers... I ended up sticking with pearl 8120 model... Now, strictly about blackberry in general? Despite of which model you go with, pearl or storm or curve or bold, I like that fact that I don't have to be tied down in one spot to do my work... I have 2 jobs & I travel a lot for both of them... Sometimes I need to send & receive emails & the fact that I don't have to lug around my laptop is always a plus... I have just bought a laptop but more so than not, I usually bring it in to coffee shops when I'm on the road or restaurants to touch up on few things when I'm on the road... I like the fact that I could always download copy of an email to my laptop for back up in case I need to access an old email but I don't have a copy of it on my phone... I could always send it to myself, onto my phone... I like the convenience of being able to take a picture on site & being able to send it to a customer, contractor and/or other people whom I need to be in contact with at the time... I like the fact that I could take the memory card out of my phone & just dump everything on it to my computer... Sounds (call quality) pretty clear, size of the keys aren't bad, although that's more of subjective... Over all, I like my blackberry... I couldn't really find con's of my blackberry pearl... I doubt I'm gonna be looking in to any other phone any time soon...

If you like what you got no need to change it :) I'm starting to be on the internet more texting and mailing back and forth. Never had one but willing to try and see for myself. I'll have to check the pearl out also. Ohh yea it is verizon that is offering it. I still got like 6 months for my every 2 thing o may hold off and see how others review it when it actually does hit the stores. Not su eif i can make it since when i see something I like I usually think about it til I get it.. Thanks for the info.

If you're gonna try out pearl, no matter what service provider you go with, make sure you go with model 8120 or higher... It has wifi capability built into it so even if you don't go with 3G phones, at some spots with wifi connected, you'll notice that the internet speed will increase... For some, that's quite fast enough... I'm currently with T-Mobile & nice thing about them is when you don't have any service, you can link to any open wireless router & still make & receive a call... Basically T-Mobile service has it set up so that you can use your phone like VoIP phone... Depends on where you live or where you plan to use your phone, I do have to admit that T-Mobile may not be the best choice for you but it's been really good to me so far... I've been with them since January of this year... But I've had their service few years back & I've never had any problems back then either & that's why I came back to them... Just my thought & an opinion... Good luck in search of your phone...

It's about time that Blackberry put out a product with a touchscreen. This has been the deciding factor on why I chose my Centro over the Blackberry. Now I might consider the Blackberry. The benefit to me with the Blackberry email solution is supported by my company. The drawback is that I don't think that the Storm will be running on the G3 network and I do need fast internet access. So, I guess that I'll wait for some consumer reviews before making that decision.
