I've been dealing with alot of stress in my life lately, it's not all bad stress but its enough to make a person break down a bit. My life is changing a lot and I'm not sure how to deal with it. I don't have a job right now, I'm planning to go to college in March,I'm moving out on Dec 1, my mother is asking for rent money(she knows I'm looking for a job), Christmas is coming and I won't be able to afford gifts, I'll be having surgery in December and I've got to go to a bunch of appointments, and the list goes on and on. What is the best way to deal with stress and change? Any suggestions?

I have learned to live my life ODAAT. That means One Day At A Time.
I do not worry about tomorrow because when it comes it will still be today in actuality. Take a deep breath and reflect on the positive side of your life I suggest. Do not worry about things to the point of stressing yourself out too badly. Change is our way of moving, up to to speak, in our lives. Remember things always have a way of working themselves out in the long run as well. I wish you luck in everything as well.

Just take a deep breath and ask God to take your stress away. I would just pray about it. Keep up hope that things will get better and settle down soon. People will understand if you can't get them gifts. That's not what Christmas is about anyway. If they really love you they will understand your situation.

I have had a lot of stress in my life as well, but most of my woes are money related, my goodness its so hard to stretch a dollar these days, and its really hard to earn a dollar, Iv been surfing the net to find other ways of earning money but theres so many scams out there that you dont know what sites are telling the truth and witch ones are lying, I just moved to a new place and due to the move my bills are piling up and on top of that my cat has fallon ill its just been so hard but I just try to keep going and think as positive as I can, but I must admit its hard to stay positive sometimes but thats all we can do and hope that theres a light at the end of the tunnel. and as for what to do to relieve stress a long hot bubble bath helps me a little when I'm stressed.

hi missa405,
it is hard to deal with stress especially when you allow them to break your system. personally i apply the following steps in dealing with stress.
1. stop and think. give yourself a few hours of break. once your mind is cleared from cluttered thoughts you can think wisely.
2. one step at a time - decide which is which meaning which among the things that you have mentioned is the most important and the most urgent. dont be confuse with Urgency and Importance. there are things in our life that are urgent but not so important so with the other.
3. pray for guidance - this is the most important. seek divine providence that will guide you in your decisions.
hope to hear good news from you soon.
be blessed happy posting

Well, all i can tell is "take it to the Lord Jesus min prayer." no other powerfull tool but that. It so effective with me and a lot of other people too. If it can with ours then why can't yours?

Breathing deeply and go for a run or take excersise , help your mum all you can , dust ,polish , clean the windows mow the grass.Try to help and do extras for her, try to find a partime job ,cleaning is a good way of earning a bit extra and relax you will get though this explain to everyone that you will give them an IOU for christmas, well thats christmas sorted out.exercise depending on what surgery you are having,if you help your mum out with the chores I am sure that will lower her stress and in turn lower your stress, I am a mum and I know what it is like. Two reasons for stress cancelled out, a few cleaning jobs in private houses and theres your cash flow sorted.Relax in a hot bath and read that is a great way to forget your stress and lose yourself for an hour or two.See it is easy follow my lead and you will forget about this time and look back and laugh.
