hi arno ^^
I'm using friendster. I didn't think that friendster help you much in making friends.
That's true that some of my friends are my real friends and it help me to communicate with them. but it didn't work if I want their reply immediately.
some of my friends are new that I didn't know who are they or how did they know me..
I make my profile private to prevent somebody that I didn't know. I think than to search for friend, friendster use for searching *sorry..* beautiful/cute girl or handsome guy to be friend..
I prefer facebook than friendster.. first I had meet so many my childhood friends there.. and it more fun to use facebook. people can't see your profile if he/she not your friend (it's more private). I said it not because I didn't want to make new friends.. but I prefer to be save.. So many people being manipulated lately..
sorry if you don't like my respond.. I just wanna share it =)

Hello Arno, Friendster is a social community. I'm a fan of it, and I've been using it for the past five years. I'm keeping my site not to gain more friends, but to keep my friends as well. It's a way to communicate with my friends no matter how far they are. Yes, I've got more than 500 friends in that site, but most of them are people that I met in real life...^^ So it's more likely a place where people hang out to link with their friends...
