Tarot Cards! That have this mystical quality about them! I do use them myself from time to time. I do have an interest in the different kinds of cards out there on the market! I am curious about these things and I generally do a reading for myself perhaps once per month. I am open minded about these things. There's a saying that we are all interconnected somehow! Your thoughts, whether they be positive or negative, tends to affect your world more than you know! I love the cards, they give me hope and, the more you use them, the more they become tuned to your personal energy, your personal vibrations! What do you think about the tarot cards? Have you ever used them and do they help you in any way? Andrew

I have used Tarot cards before, especially during times of uncertainty. They have always been very accurate about my situation at the moment, what has just occurred in the past, and what I can expect in the future. I haven't done a reading in quite a while, though.

The cards to tend to be quite accurate. I think that they can be interpreted in all sorts of ways though. Anyway, I think that it's something good to do every now and then. Andrew

Have they always been accurate? I am finding this quite interesting. Maybe I have somewhat underestimated them. I may give them a chance after all.

The tarot cards are not for everyone although I do like them, I do turn to them with an open-mind. I guess lots of people are curious though when it comes to things like that. Andrew

Hey there, Andrew, never thought of you as been new age! LoL! I bought some new cards recently, but these are Angel cards . Have only done a reading once with them and still have the three cards I picked, spread out on the carpet by my bed! I really totally agree with you :~)

Yes, it's quite surprising what you learn about people. I love everything new age and tarot cards tend to be on top of my new age list! I have heard about the angel cards and I'm sure that I have a set somewhere in my special box of cards! I like to do readings for myself once per month and also when I am undergoing a huge transition of some kind. Anyway, it's nice tuning in with you once again! Andrew

Hi Andrew. I dont have my own set of tarot cards and I dont know how to read them but last February,it was the Chinese New Year...just for fun...I tried tarrot reading. A lady who is famous here is did the reading. Honestly I could not remember all that she said except that, this year is a bad year for me...LOL...I totally forgot about the reading. I have mentioned to you my abilities on this so,as usual,I didnt want to dwell on it.

So, how has your year been then? Whenever something big or dramatic happens in my life I tend to turn to the cards for a message or two! This sounds like my life depends on them but that's not the case! I still have my feet firmly planted on the ground! I get a real pleasure from using the cards though. Andrew

I have never used tarot cards. I have always been somewhat interested by them, though. But I am a little bit scared, for some reason. Maybe I will still try them some day, just to see what they are all about. :)

There's nothing wrong with using tarot cards although it's important to remain open-minded I guess! I guess there is a danger of interpreting the worst case scenario as to what is going on in your life so caution should be exercised I guess. I love the cards and I don't take them too seriously. I actually own a packet, I am always interested in the occult and certainly with tarot cards, I bought them on Friday 13th, how's that for a date to buy tarot cards! I tried to teach myself to read them, I got various books out of the library, but I guess you have to be naturally gifted, I gave a few readings at the time and one to my ex and my ex actually started crying! Trouble is looking back If I had taken more notice of the reading I gave my ex I wouldn't have got myself into such a mess, the cards were meant for my ex but they were telling me a big message which I ignored to my peril! I gave up with them in the end because I had no one to practice on and I tried to do them on myself but it doesn't work that way sadly! I still have the cards but sadly my skills have diminished and I never kept it up!

Hi wolfie! That's interesting that you had a set of cards. I just love my cards so much and I keep them safe in a secret box! I think that there's some truth to the fact that they become attuned to your personal energy so the readings tend to be accurate! Anyway, I guess anyone can use them, I just love everything occult! It seems that I have acquired even more enthusiasm as a result of creating this discussion, everyone is so helpful with their personal thoughts! Andrew

Hi, I've never heard of the cards you are using but it's interesting to know that there are so many different types. I use the tarot cards occasionally and I think it's true that when you use them they become attuned to your personal energies or vibration. When you look at the pictures it's almost like you're seeing everything that is going on inside your mind. I like the cards and I find them quite inspirational and helpful at times. There a lot of tarot free tutorials online, just carry out a search and I'm sure that you will find what you are looking for. Good luck. Andrew

Hi Andrew =)
I like tarot. I dunno why.. but something made me interested. I had 2 deck of tarot card the first deck that I bought was the classic deck named Marseille.. and one of my fella told me that it was a rare deck.. (I'm a little bit surprised) but I didn't very use to it.. the illustration hard to interpret..
When I walking around, I found a magic store that sell tarot. I stop by and ask the teller.. he told me about tarot and teach me to use it ^^.
I'm with my friend when ask about it and the reader read the card for my friend (and it actually true.. and we just meet him just once!) So i bought the 2nd deck (it's rider tarot). and I find that it more easy to interpret ^^.
But I was busy lately so I rarely use the tarot.. But sure it's very fun =)
My aunt had ability to interpret.. She is an handycraft teacher in junior school.
Some of her students ask her to interpret and sometimes it really happen!! (she didn't use tarot, she use cartomancy deck - mlie lenormand). If you ask me whether I know how to use it... I didn't know how to use it.. I just know a little bit about interpret tarot =)

No evidence have ever been presented that suggests Tarot cards have any unique properties whatsoever, and no evidence has ever been presented that Tarot cards do what they are claimed to do. They are pictures on cards, nothing more.

I've used tarot but I've always had a much better response out of runes. I think because of the ease at which a tarot reading can be spun, especially if you know the person. I don't know if you have ever tried runes, but they are a lot more cut and dry. I do really like the variety and beauty of the tarot decks though!

Hi, I really love the rune stones and I do have a set of my own although I don't use them as much as the tarot cards. I have a box where I keep my tarot cards and rune stones. I also have other decks of cards in the same box. It's a nice thing to do and it helps me a lot personally. Welcome to My Lot by the way, keep posting. Andrew

I have used Tarot cards myself. I am not the best with them. I can take time to really look and concentrate and come up with an idea of what they are teling me but it does take time for me. My mother is much better with these cards than I am so most of the time I try to talk her into telling my "fortune" as we call it. I am not sure if mom is going to continue to do it or not she is having a time deciding in the later years of her life if it is against her religion. She is really good and I have encouraged her that she should have done it for profit. There is also a lady that lives in the town where I live that reads the Tarots. She to is pretty accurate. The first time I went to see her I had never seen her in my life and told her only my name and date of birth. I was not going to make conversation so she could see inside the walls of my life and use that information to tell me about my life. I wanted to see how good she was with those cards. What I found was she was pretty darn good. I still enjoy going to see her when I have a bit of free time.
The thing about reading the Tarot is that these cards can not be taken as face value. The position (upside down, upright), the place, and even the numbers on these cards tells exactly what that card means in your life. Tarot cards pick up the enegry of the individual as well and this effects the outcome of the reading. It takes some concentration to read them correctly and no book you can get will really be alot of help outside telling you the back ground information on the card and possibly the different types of decks available.
I believe guidance can be found in the Tarot. Do I believe that everything you see or someone tells you is going to be one hundred percent right, no I don't. Some will see something one way and someone else will see it another. Everyone is entitled to be off a bit and we all make mistakes. Especially when we are dealing with lives of people we do not know. If you can get within the ball field of a strangers situation I belive you did well. My husband on the other hand says no one or anything can tell you the future. Some are curious of the Tarot, some are inspired, and others are very skiddish to even get close to a deck of the Tarot cards.

I do enjoy the cards. I do not think they are evil as many people seem to think. Of course you can never take anything too seriously. After I responded to this question my best friend called and asked if I would like to go see the card reader in town LOL fate you think? LOL I don't know but I said yes and she is trying to make us an appoinment for Friday. You are very welcome for the response thank you for yours as well. :)
