What would you do if your favorite TV show was cancelled?

I just heard that Pushing Daisies (ABC) might
be getting cancelled. I haven't seen any of
the new episodes of the season. But, I loved
last season. Though the theme song did wear
thin after a couple times.
I hope they don't cancel it.
If they do cancel the show, I might email ABC in protest.
Or, post about the cancellation on my blog.
What would you do if you found out that your
favorite show had been cancelled?
Would you protest?

I downloaded a show for my daughter
to watch and got five trojan viruses.
What a nightmare.
Lucky that Spyware Doctor took care
of them.

My favorite TV shows are always being cancelled. Lois and Clark only ran for 4 seasons. We own all but the 4th season, I might get it for hubby for X Mas. We loved that show... and it was a great show, so I don't see why only 4 seasons. Then hubby got really into the show Jumper, and I started to watch a couple episodes and it seemed good, then they cancelled that too.
Now this is the final season of ER, my ultimate favorite show. Charmed was another of my favorites and that ended a couple years ago. 7th Heaven also used to be a favorite and that ended the same year as Charmed.
All good things must come to an end.
You heard of the show Life On Mars? I don't think that will last long... but I haven't actually seen it.

I loved Charmed! I was so bummed that the show ended.
But, I couldn't really see where else they could
take the story line.
Piper just kept having babies and I don't think any of
the other girls were going in that direction.
They did an interesting wrap up at the end that sort of
showed how their lives turned out.
Interesting, but it didn't leave any room for a Charmed
reunion movie.

Yeah, that part really mystified me, too.
The guy was a demon. And, then he lost his
powers and turned into a big girly man
hanging around the house all day and whining.
Wasn't he some kind of attorney before
Phoebe met him?
Guess he could have just gone back to
his regular job like any ordinary guy.
I think it was written that way cause it
was a girl's show, not attracting a male audience.
In real life Cole would have just gotten over it
and gotten a job.
Or, gone on unemployment.
Do they have unemployment for recently defrocked demons?

Yes, some of it was starting to get old. The girls were not allowed to have lives, Leo was bouncing in and out of the picture, Pheobe was obsessed with finding a husband and having a baby.
The part I hated the most was right after Pheobe and Cole split, then he became so depressed and pathetic. I mean come on, the man was a demon and the source of all evil, would he really get that pathetic over a woman? Get a grip!
Sometimes I'm sad it's over, because I'm not crazy about watching reruns, but I do miss the show. But I truly don't see where else they could have gone with it.

I suggest you go to www.abc.com and wtite or e-mail them now. I read today how the last show didn't get even decent ratings in the last airing, and the show is so very close to being canceled. The writer's strike hurt the show, but what doomed it was that when the writer's strike was over, they didn't do any more new episodes. And when a show is off the air with no new episodes for nine months, it is easy for people to forget them. CBS brought back their shows after the writer's strike, and some of their shows are seeing all time ratings highs now. I don't watch Pushing Daisies, but I like several of the actors on the show, and I'd hate to see such an original show be canceled.

You could probably find a petition online already to try to save the show. Fans start early when they hear rumblings of trouble. Private Pracitce, you know the spin off of Grey's Anatomy? It didn't come back after the strike either and it is tanking. But because of the 'stars' involved they are giving it a better time slot for another chance.
Actually, the cast of Pushing Daisies was free. Because of the strike there was no work going on with TV or film. The network just decided to wait. I think it was cheaper for them. They used already done reality shows for filler last year. That was a bad move. I mean, two of the stars in Pushing Daisies got nominated for Emmys this year. That should be a vote of confidence! It shows they are doing something right.

I was so disappointed that Pushing Daisies
didn't bother to come out with any more
shows after the strike.
All the other shows did. But not that one.
All I can figure is that the actors had
moved on to other projects in the mean time
and they weren't able to go back into
production with a full cast, not until this
new season.
I'll check out the link and see about lodging a
rescue attempt.
Thanks for the suggestion.

That is good news about the nominations.
And perhaps enough to save the show.

A lot of programmes I have liked over the years have been taken off for one reason or the other. I wonder if that means my taste in tv is rubbish?
I have never protested about it though, I never thought about doing that before.

Yesterday, I sent an email
to ABC and asked them not to cancel
the show. I'm just one person, so hopefully
other fans will pick up the torch.

If my favorite TV show got cancelled, I'd probably go and find a new favorite show. There are so many good shows on TV right now that it isn't hard to find a good show and all of them aren't going to get cancelled as long as they have good ratings. That is the key.

I would have been so mad if my favourite show got cancelled. They completed the series though after 10 seasons so I'm not worried. (I love Friends)
My favourite show now is probably House. And I think I would cry if they cancelled it. I love Hugh Laurie. There's nothing you can do about it though. Pushing Daisies is an awesome show, too, so it would suck if it got put off the air.

I haven't watched "Daisies". But this happens alot. You fall in love with a show. Next thing you know it is canceled. I think it is just the way it goes. No I wouldn't protest. I'd just find something else to watch.

I'd probably never know a show had been cancelled.
These days I don't get time to watch much TV.
Too many things to do around the house and online.

I never got into SVU.
I just don't like the idea
of watching shows about victimization.
I have seen one or two of the shows.
I might get into the show later.

Oh my... i would be very sad about it... but there are some series that eventhough i love them... they need to just end... or have a spin off to start fresh... like Prison Break... i haven't watch any episodes of the new season... but by reading the recaps... i think season 4 should be the last...
With Desperate housewives... they definitely need to stay until season 7... and i do not know what i will do without Ugly Betty... since i really love this show... and hope it will continue for a long time...

I actually was liking that new game show Opportunity Knocks only to find out that ABC cancelled it after like 3 episodes. I know this sounds kind of bad for the show, but I liked it! Since then ABC has been messing around with the schedule for other shows to which seems to disappoint me because I like the shows that they are moving around! At least other networks have not done that yet! ABC STINKS!!!
