my partner and i have been trying to conceive now since january, well now it's november and still nothing.
i am 28, he is 23 (yes i know, i am a cradle snatcher lol). i have a son who is 10 from a previous relationship, and i had no trouble concieving him (tried for 2 months at most before falling pregnant with him).
so i was just wondering what you guys thought would be a "decent" amount of time to leave it before i toddle off to the doctors to se if there are any problems with use concieving?

try till january and I'm sure you can have your partner, as it seems you may be fertile enough. I'm sure if there is anything wrong they can find out, but it takes times and... accidents LMAO

i was sort of thinking january too, as some medics suggest a year, where as others say 8 months.
what worries me most is that i has been 10 years since i last had a baby, and it was a dificult birth with my son, not sure if my body is still up to i now rofl!

as far as I'm conscerned if you had one you can have another, unless something bad happened or something like that. If you really want you can get yourself checked out as well. I do wish you the best of luck though!!

Honestly since the thought crossed your mind it wouldent hurt to bring it up your bf/other and let him know how you feel and make an appointment. The best news you can get is nothing is wrong just the timing is off. I feel the sooner you know what is going on the better.

People that are keen to conceive might not get pregnant due to stress. There is such disappointment if months go past and each month the period comes along. The time passes the more worry there will be. I know a lady that has identical twin boys and then she struggled for months to get pregnant. She and her husband went on holiday and guess what she got pregnant. She was so surprised when a scan showed she is having more twins. Her twenty week scan told her they are identical twin boys. I suggest weekends away at your fertile time and a two week holiday at your fertile time when you can relax and probably get pregnant. If not I think you should seek fertility testing. Good luck.

I waited about a year and then when I went to the doctor for my annual checkup I told him we were trying with no luck. He gave me some charts that I had to fill out and went back to him 4 months later. After that I had to go for a test and then my husband had to go for a test. Nothing seemed to be wrong so after 4 yrs of testing and not finding a problem my doctor recommended we go to a fertility specialist. I went home and my husband and I were getting ready to go on vacation and we decided that when we got home we would decide what to do and call the specialist. Well...guess what....I got pregnant on vacation. I was calling my doctor back 4 weeks later telling him I didn't need to see the specialist ...vacation did the trick. To continue the story after trying for 5 yrs to have my daughter I got pregnant right away very unexpectantly with my son right after my daughter was born. Then I had my tubes tied.
