They are supposed to be coming out with a new Star Trek movie - a prequel to the original series. Do you think it will be good? I am not holding out much hope after how bad a series Enterprise was. I think they should stay away from prequels.

Saw the new movie and loved it. Trouble is that because time changed nothing in the future will be the same. So all the things that happened in the previous movies and series will not actully happen. Even some of the characters in those shows will not exist.

I'm a little wary of it. My father may enjoy it though. He's almost a Trekkie. Not as extreme as some but he loves it just the same. We'd heard about this before hand from a friend of mine who is a Trekkie and he has mixed feelings about this too. But a prequel would be interesting.

I'm so looking forward to seeing this movie. Trekkies have heard plenty about the Enterprise's crew's days at the academy. It's about time that they put it all together for a movie. My son is looking forward to seeing this movie also. I am a Trekkie from a a long way back, but he has been watching the reruns and is just amazed with it. All I have to hear is a few lines from the opening teaser and I can name the episode and who the guest actor was for it.
Peace, Long Live and Prosper. \\\/|

Enterprise actually had a good premise, for the first season, but it just lost its track later and went down with the series of bad writing, mediocre cast and lack of original plot. Good thing they didn't make Star Trek: The Beginning based on this Enterprise crew, despite my interest in exploring this Terran-Romulan war (I mean, how does this one recently warp capable planet, with a few allies, put up against the far more advanced Romulans?). But the recent movie just proves prequels, a fresh start, can work wonders if treated properly.
