How terrible the houseing market is?

If a condo costs you 300k, is it cheap? If the condo now is only 200k. Does that mean the depression of the housing market. How many guys can afford such a high price(even the lower one)? This phenomenon only means how bad the previous housing market is. It is one of the main reason that ruin the American economy.
