If a woman hits a man, is it okay for him to hit her back?

if a woman hits a man because of pushing her by abusung very badly she has got license to hit him,,,and the guy has no right to hit her back. i live in india and what my civilization taught me is never abuse a women,,and we should respect women..even a women hits us by mistake we should not hit her back..the culture is respect women..cause women is next to god...only she can give a life.. so respect women

No. I don't think that a man should have the right to lay his hands on any woman. However, on the same thought I do not believe that a woman has a right to hit a man. If she is being emotionally abused she should find someone to talk to or somewhere to turn instead of turning things physical.

No ofcourse not.What right has the man to hit a woman if he gets hit by her because he abused her? On the other hand the woman should take him to the policestation and file a complaint against him and he shoud be jailed for it.Verbal or physical assault especially on a woman is a criminal offence and the woman has every right to take recourse to filing a criminal complaint against him.Women are regarded as the weaker amongst our species and it is the duty of every man who is the dominant among our species to protect women from abuse and assault and see that no harm is done to them in any manner or way.

I have heard those incidents before where a woman was abusing her husband in terms of beating him. But in most cases people turn to think that a man is stupid or not a man enough to be beaten by his wife but things like those do happen. There was this guy who was beaten by his wife and went straight to the police to report her and guess what happened there..they stood there looked at him and made jokes about his statement. the sit there laughing at him and telling him that he was lying. They went with hm to his home where they found a wife and questioned her and she said there was nothing wrong she done and claimed that his man was the one who would always beat her, the poor guy's statement has never been taken for serious and the woman got away with that, even now that guy when he experience some abusing scenes from his wife he never report them anymore I think if you punch back that's when you will be locked up in jail, because everything she will report to the police will be taken for serious unlike yours.
