When I turn on my pc it has no beep, but the fans are working. What do you think is the problem?

when that happens to my pc, i try to take out all the parts and clean them, and it usually works. but if it doesn't work, there might be something wrong with the motherboard.

I did what you say, but it failed to work. Maybe it's really the motherboard which is defective, how sad. :( Anyway, thanks for your response.

I already figured out what is defective. It's the power supply. I changed the power supply and it's working now. Yah, swapping makes us figure out what is wrong. Thanks for the willingness to help. :)

Or if you can provide another computer, try swapping their parts just to isolate where the problem on your pc comes from.

you can try this: disconnect the power cable from your pc and then open the pc case remove the cmos battery or use the clear-cmos jumper to reset the BIOS setting remove the memory modular & graphics card, clear the slots and then reinstall them then, connect the power cable again and power on you pc if things don't get better, there might be some hardware issues, turn to your hardware vendor for help if they are still under warranty. always keep in mind:DISCONNECT THE POWER CABLE BEFORE ACTIONS.good luck :)

I already tried to reset jumper settings of CMOS, but it still didn't work, change of videocard and memory didn't work also. I suspect that there is really a hardware problem, but I can't distinguish which is defective. No, my PC not covered of warranty anymore. Thanks for your response.

What happens when the fans are working? Does the windows system boot up or it stays there? There must be something wrong with your BIOS if that is the case. The fans automatically turn on when the power to the system is turned on that's why they work even if the PC fails to boot. Cheers~

There's no display at all. There's no beep. Only the fans and the lights in the CPU is working. And it also turned off automatically. I also reset the CMOS, it still doesn't work. What do you think is defective? Motherboard, CPU, or what?

There could be something wrong with your hard drive or any of the drives from which you boot from. I don't think this is a DIY situation unless you want to risk it. Have it checked by a technician. Yes,you might have to upgrade though.

Using other harddisk didn't work also. Maybe it's really need to be check up by a professional technician. Thanks again!

This problem happens sometimes when your vga card is a bit loose. Open the casing and press it inside a bit, or check the cable if its well fit, then try it

I even tried to insert another video card, and it didn't work. But I already figured out what is wrong. It's the power supply. I changed it and it's working now. Thanks for the response anyway.
