I know I might look like an ignorant person but I have to admit that after more than three decades living in this planet, it's only now that I've heard about this type of cake. Stupid, ain't I?
Anyway, I've always been fascinated by cakes. And I'm a sweet tooth by the way, from cakes to pastries, brownies, ice cream, ice cream cake, you name it! Unfortunately, I haven't tried baking an actual cake even once. My reason then was because we don't have an oven in the household. But now, I can't use that same reason anymore; because my parents gave me and my husband an oven as wedding gift more than five years ago. However, we decided to leave it in my parents' house in the province for the time being. Until now, we haven't used it because we are still paying off most of our outstanding monetary obligations where almost all of my monthly salary goes. Hopefully, after paying them all off, we'll be able to save for our own house and lot.
But if you have some cake recipes, traditional or otherwise, including internet sites covering this topic, kindly do share them with us.
Thanks in advance and happy baking. Regards.

It's not one of my favorite cakes but my husband and my father-in-law ask for this cake every year for their birthdays. My mother-in-law and I get so tired of having that cake all of the time.
One year I made something different for my husband and you could tell that he was disappointed but I think there are better cakes than this one. What do you think?
