I made a lot of typos there..
There's no full stop between 'many different fillings' and 'they were compared to magpies'. Also.. it's supposed to be 'one common pie-baking technique in the Midwest involved baking pie in a brown paper bag'. Grrr. Oh well, they're still awesome pie facts, no? =D

Because early European pies were filled with a combination of many different fillings they were compared to magpies, which collect various objects for their nests.
xD
I don't know, it's kind of weird. Oh well, at least they didn't name it "magpie". I'd associate the food with 'maggots' then. =( "Pie" sounds cool. ;D

the only time i ever eat pie is at thanksgiving and Christmas. i go to my grandmothers every year and we have food, and all kinds of desserts including pie. i like pumpkin pie and i love pecan pie. i have not really had lots of types of pies but i think i would be up to try most of them. i really want to try lemon murrain pie.
