I am glad you liked the film. Now that we are friends, I am more sensitive about the use of Chinese culture, like Kung Fu, for entertainment for us who are not Chinese.I don't want us to demean the Chinese culture. I am glad the film was in a Chinese style. With all that said, I didn't see the film. I have seen the previews but I didn't get to see it. Now when it comes on cable, I can try it

I didn't see Mulan.I am not into animated films that much. I did see and enjoyed Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Finally a Chinese film where I can hear Mandarin, at least I assume it was Mandarin, being spoken instead of living through bad dubbing.

I remember with Mulan there was a bit of controversy about McDonalds selling a special kid's meal that came in the "traditional" (and totally american) Chinese take-out carrier boxes. That might of been more tolerated for Kung Fu Panda since food plays a more significant role in the movie. With Mulan I do not remember food issues (but I only saw it once, years ago ...
Kung Fu Panda I saw at least three times ...
Once on the IMAX screen!)
But I really do not see it as a Chinese culture film - not knowing how exactly the Chinese culture view Kung Fu, this seemed to me to start as a Kung Fu fan satire - those who see the movie stars and popular culture icons who use Kung Fu as entertainment. But I will let someone who knows real Kung Fu to elaborate further, since I am ignorant of the subject.

I love the cartoon.
Still searching for the cantonese version of the show.
The copy I have, the sounds for cantonese dialogue sucked big time!

I so so love Kung Fu Panda! It is so hilarious yet it teaches some values. It tells us that we should live our dream and that there is no secret ingredient, we just have to have faith and everything we do will turn out to have the best results. I have a dvd copy of this at home and I watch it every now and then.

Our little family enjoyed it a lot!
You have things for everyone ... kung fu for the dad, sentimental for the mom , catoony style for the kiddo ... and tons of fun for everyone ;)
No really good movie ... I was not sure I would enjoy it that much, very nice surprise

this was a delightful film for the whole family to enjoy. I watched it first over the summer when visiting my mother and we all liked it very much from age 6 years to 65 years. we recently rented it on dvd so my husband could watch it and the kids are asking for it for a Christmas gift.

we watched 'Kungfu Panda' on DVD, only two weeks ago..
but it was really a good movie.. truly enjoyed it.
my children had a lot of laughs watching the Panda trained with the Master and his five friends..
ohh... at the beginning of the movie when he was trying to get in the monestary, put fireworks on the chair and 'fall from the sky'.. that was really funny, too..

I have also seen that movie and i really enjoyed it. It was really fun and i think when i watched it in the theatre there were also people who are already adults who watched it and actually enjoed it like i did. I think i would really enjoy it even if i would be watching it over and over again. Anyways i think there is really some lesson learned from the movie and i think it really applies to people of all ages. I really appreciated the movie and i hope i could watch it again someday. hehe

I really like KungFu Panda as well. In fact I and my husband collected all the toys from McDonalds because I like the story and characters in KungFu Panda. The movie should be watched by young and teenagers as well but I could say that it fits all ages. The movie is 10 plus plus for me!

Hello dear youless. I watched a little bit of the movie when I was at a meeting with my colleagues. I didn't finish watching it, but I think that it is a wonderful movie and I like it because most of the scenes have very typical Chinese scenes. Although it is not made in China, it is still a good one.

Jack Black is funny on a clean level. I really think he can pull off a great movie. I havent seen it but as I understand kids and adults both love it. I think that these movies are a good way to bring parents, older and younger siblings together. THey are all watching and enjoying the movie for their own reasons. Not many movies can achieve this these days. Hats off the the KUNG FU PANDA!!dl

I like that movie also. It is a good movie for the family. IT is funny and really entertaining. They also tried to make the animations look like the ones who dubbed.

Yes,it is really a good film,it is very interesting and funny. The panda in the film is my best love,as is well known, the panda is the national treasure in China and Kung Fu is very famous in China, too.Although it was't made in China,we can feel many parts of it are the same as films produced in China,
I love China.
