I love drinking coffee and in every coffee I consume I have one stick of cigarette.I drink one cup of coffee at home before I go to work and 3-4 cups of coffee at the office.
Now it's payback time..I had my chest x-rayed and the doctor told me that I have pneumonitis it is a sign of lung injury, when there is inflammation of your lungs. It is very similar to pulmonary toxicity.Whatever.
According to what I've researched,I need to drink at least 2-3 liters of water per day...OMG..I can't even finish a glass of water. But at least I can see improvements,I drink a lot of water but not probably 2-3 liters but at least more than a glass of water and what's good also and a thumbs up for me I stopped smoking and it's been 5 days already, not bad right.Practicing healthy living.lol.
So for those who are into smoking...stop it while you still have time and of course to avoid getting sick.
At work I have to avoid the temptation from my smoking/coffee buddies.lol.I know they'll understand.

congrats! i know that its very difficult for you to quit smoking right away but because you don't have a choice but to obey your doctor . . ...you must quit. my husband is also a smoker before but when we got married i forced him to stop, i dont like the smell of it, sorry for the smokers out there.. my point is, its really up to the person if he/she want to quit smoking, at the end of the day it is still you who is responsible to whatever the result of it.

Oh my! I think I am experiencing this. I am even planning to meet my doctor on pay day to have me checked up.
I have a hard time coughin. There is phlegm but it doesn't come out so I force to let it out that it makes me weak.
My cough has been unusual lately and I have been smoking a lot with less rest.
But I do drink a lot of water. I actually always drink water after I smoke. It has been a practice to me already because I know smoking is not good, so at leats I get to drink water a lot. But I don't think it's good enough for help.

hope that it as easy as saying i quit smoking lol!
it's hard especially if it's been a habit or should i say became a part of my everyday life.
i also drink coffee 3 to 4 mugs (not cup) of coffee. for the past 7 years being a smoker i haven't experience shortness of breathe or even signs of any abnormal lung condition. according to my last x-ray it shows normal lungs, maybe that's because i am engage to sports most of the time like running, biking, playing basketball, swimming and so much more that my lungs do get exercise from all those activities LOL!
