i have to agree with u..in my company which im working for there are many lay offs and force leave especially in this month and christmas is fast approaching..i really pity those who lose their job and would have to start all over again just to have something to feed for the family...
anyway, one can have the spirit of christmas not just because of material things or money issues...one has to remember that the meaning of christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus so we have to rejoice. :)

It is a shame that the economy isn't so good but I think things might be getting somewhat better. There are people getting laid off and the like and prices are high everywhere.
I am still trying to make sure that Christmas is as nice as possible. I don't like to lose the spirit despite the country's circumstances financially.
We can still feel the holiday mood no matter what.
It is mind over matter. It might cost more money this year for gifts and the like but what is most important is what the true meaning of Christmas is.
The birth of Jesus Christ.
