I go for a glucose screening test next week myself, I am 6 months pregnant right now, and that is a routine thing. Im dreading that stuff I Have to drink!!! :( Either way, if I end up with gestational diabetes, I will let you know which method they choose for me. but I pray that I do not have it.

My mother did when she was pregnant with my little sister. She had to take insulin. My sister is now 17 and my mother is no longer on insulin- it is now combatted taking a pill everyday.

I was borderline with my first child, had to do Humulin N and R for my second (twins), and for my third pregnancy I'm doing 40 units of N in the morning. I try to eat well (although I am craving fruit which I can't have now)and keep up on my sugar testing. Thankfully it's controllable and there's an end in sight!
