for the P4 I would recomend XP either version, if your talking the P4 Duo core then it would have to be Vista, Which P4 Version are you talking about and what speed of the P4 are you talking

You mean Pentium 4. I thing Windows XP Home or Professional i good for pentium 4. Before that you must upgrade RAM 2GB above. If you just using 512MB or 1 GB RAM. Windows XP still work but it will be slow after 4-5 month after that.

i'm guessing p-4 suppose to be pentium 4 then? well... i think windows xp is the perfect to use with it but if you considering to use vista also can but i think vista is for dual-core OS so it's up to you which one you wanna use it...

Well if you have a high end computer then you can use vista..but still, many prefers xp because of vista having many compatibility issues and of course xp runs much faster than vista..that is why you need a high specs for your pc to run vista smoothly
