I Have Just Come Home With Over £100 Worth Of Goods & Total Cash I Spent Was £18

I put this is the making money section as the reason why I managed to buy so much is because I had vouchers that I had earnt online by doing surveys that they had sent. I had some for Marks & Spencer and some for Argos and as Marks & Spencer were doing a 3 for 2 offer gained an extra £15 in goods. So far this year Christmas has cost me £18 plus parking I guess as I have also used my myLot earnings towards purchases online with PayPal. Ok I am not earning fortunes but it is making a difference and as they say every little helps eh! Today I purchased a new winter coat, a pair of boots, two pair of trousers for my son, some Christmas cards, a six-in-one golf tool, some aftershave, model aeroplane airfix model, a toy scooter. I would say that my time online has been very well spent. What do you use your online earnings for? What is your latest bargain purchase or even freebie? Huggles. Ellie :D

Wow Ellie wish I knew what surveys you do..lol..it would be nice to be able to get vouchers like that, something I'm in need of. I keep my earnings for a rainy day and that came this month..but I let my earnings build up before withdrawing any. At the moment I haven't had any freebies, it makes me wonder where do they come from....huggles littleowl

Hi Littleowl, I will refer you to some that I can and email you details of the others. I was selected recently for another one that paid £190 but that was a one off and it was because I was a customer of a particular place. I also receive Tesco vouchers from one and some pay direct into account. I know of a few freebie sites too. In the last month I have had T-bags, soap, laundry conditioner, bath salts and four free energy saving light bulbs, oh and some cake samples, yummy. huggles. Ellie :D

HI Ellie, Yes i do online surveys as well to earn a little cash and so far this year I have made a round $500 from doing them and they pay me by either sending me gift vouchers, cheques or one pays straight into my bank account and so the vouchers I normally save for the kids to use when they go to one of their friends birthday party because you know when they come up you never have enough money to buy a present for them or if there is no party coming up then I just them in my everyday shopping and the ones that pay me with cheque or straight into my account normally goes towards a bill that is due at the time. I know its not alot but every little abit as you said adds up and i wish that i was able to do more of them and earn more but there are only a few companies here in Australia that you are able to earn from not the US where you guy's have a fair few of them by anyway I am happy to get any at all as it all helps us! Oh and as for freebies, we get reward points on one of cards and i just traded them in 2 weeks ago for free tickets to a theme park that we are going to on our Holiday next week so that saved me over a $120 so that was good

Hi Msmell, $500 is a decent amount to earn from them. I am from the UK not USA and I think some of the ones I do are available globally so when I next go in them if I find they do Australia I will let you know. That is great that you used your reward points for a theme park, I just used mine towards shopping but I think you get more for your money by using for something else. One survey I do gives nectar points and I used them towards shopping also but reading a response in here I could have used them also at Argos store. Oh well will know another time eh! Huggles. Hey, ellie, my only online earning is mylot and i've got only one payment which sent via paypal. But unfortunately i get it through paypal, i don't know how to get the real money, so it means nothing to me as i actually don't buy online.
@ellie333 (21016)
24 Nov 08
Hi Lynette, You can transfer from PayPal into your normal bank account. You give PaPal details, they pay two very small amounts say like a 1p or 3p into your bank you then let them know the amounts and they will verify account. Not too sure but at one time you had to have minimum £25 transfered of they would charge 25p but I use to purchase online so don't know whether they still do. Keep posting, keep responding and it will soon build. Huggles. Ellie :D

Ellie, you are a genius! It must feel fantastic to have made all those purchases and have Christmas well on the way to being sorted. It certainly does make a difference - and it's an excellent idea to buy things online, in the comfort of your own home. It's horrible to end up in crowds with cranky, grumpy people all worried about finishing their shopping on time - not to mention finding parking and struggling with parcels and lists. Christmas can be very stressful - but it sounds as if you have it well under control!

Hi Guybrush, You are right about me cuddling on the sofa but only as not well at mo. I am lucky in that the last birthday of the year for my family is early September so as soon as my eldest daughters birthday been thats when I start if I had birthdays like you have I doubt I would have anything yet either. I sill have a couple of bits to buy and some to parcel post off but can't do that yet but sorted in the main. Wow you do have a lot of birthdays this time of year. At least with your daughters you can maybe pick up a real good bargain for her in the January Sales, although these days the sales seem to be all year round don't they to encourage people in to buy. I also haven't too large a family to buy for which also helps. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi Guybrush, I cannot stand crowds and it was only because I had my eldest daughter home that I went into the city, usually I would have been back home before going though the first shop door. LOL. Shopping online is great nearer Christmas and I do my food shopping this way and book delivery slot well in advance for Christmas Eve or the day before. I love Christmas and cannot aford to be stressed at such a wonderful time when I am around my family. I even have emergency gifts wrapped but no tags for anyone unexpected. Huggles. Ellie :D

You even have EMERGENCY gifts??? WHOOOO! I haven't even done my proper gift shopping yet ... I'm green with envy! We have done the 'main' gifts for our children, but nothing for the rest of the family yet - and as for my husband's gift, I don't have any idea! Time is ticking on, so I'd better get a shuffle on. We have a lot of birthdays towards the end of the year (my son's is today), so it's hard to concentrate on buying gifts for Christmas when you still have birthday presents to buy. Now the birthdays are out of the way, I should have a clean slate. Mind you, one of my daughters has her birthday on January 10 - and my two granddaughters are both in the week after that! It's a very busy time, giftwise! Lucky you, to be cuddled up at home smiling while the rest of us are out there going crazy!

Hi ellie! I would say that you have done especially well! That is really great! I wish that I had been able to do as well! I have done some shopping for myself actually, but the only thing was that I was able to purchase things on sale. I bought 2 new winter jackets for very reasonable prices because I went to a store that sells good quality items for lesser prices. I got one ski jacket of excellent quality for $49.99. That was a steal! I got the other one for $69.99 and that one was a suede jacket for a more dressy look. I'm a pretty good shopper and either wait for sales or know where to shop to get the best prices. I do alot or "shopping around" and comparison shopping. I use mylot money to pay bills only. Since I'm not working it takes me awhile to get money together or wait for gifts. I bought the jackets with money from my birthday.

Hi Opal,. Well done for actually treating yourself to something out of your birthday money rather than using it to pay a bill, which I myself have done int the past. In fact the coat and boots yesterday we for me but I did need and they were both cheapy ones but fine for me. It is amazing the amount of money you can save by shopping around eh! Thanks for sharing. Hi Ellie! You are wonderful wife! I would marry you if I have not already been committed. You would not spend a lot of money. That would be a very big plus. Joy to the man in your life :) On a serious note I do agree that every little helps and enables you to spend less. I have bought a dog book on shelties lately thanks to the money I made on my lot. It cosed around 7.50 uk sterling and I spent some money that I had in Paypal. So it came free.

Well done you! That is fantastic and just shows that online earnings can be good enough to pay for somethings. I have earned quite a bit this year, that I had transferred over the year to paypal I have left it in there from about August I think and it has built up to over £150 and that is from myLot and surveys and other things that I have done. Next year I will just save it up all year round.

Well done Ellie, you have put your rewards to good use. I don't do any voucher surveys, because I don't do much shopping in the stores, but I do get Nectar points with my grocery shopping at the supermarket, and I get additional points when I use my Amex card. I let my Nectar points accumulate until there is something I need that I can get from Argos, and I pay for items at Argos with my points. The money I have earned online this year so far has already paid for my laptop, and I make more than enough each month to cover the cost of my internet service, so I'm getting free internet use on a free laptop, and use them to earn more money.

Hi Paid2write. You mentioned nectar points. There is one survey site that I do that pays in nectar points which I forgot about and recently I got £17.50 off my shopping at Sainsbury's from it, I didn't realise I could buy stuff from Argos with them else I would have probably only spent 50p yesterday LOL. That is excellent that you earn enough to cover the cost of the internet and you have bought a laptop. Thanks for sharing. Huggles. Ellie :D Ps. I cannot send PMs but if you want to know the site for the nectar points if you leave me your email in a PM I can give to you from there as I am in UK also.

Hi Anne, I recenly filled up the tank with a 5p off per litre also after doing an over £50 shop, saves and you get extra points for the fuel too. I have since found out that I could have saved more as I had about £17.50 of nectar points that I could have used in Argos so the whole day could have cost as little as 50p had I really worked it all out LOL. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi ellie, That is money well spent, as I only got paid in October which was £32 from Mylot and that money has gone gone on food shopping and my next payout hopefully will be December because I didn't make for this month, will go on Christmas, that is if I make the payment, but you have done well with your online payment, well done. Hi Shellyann, Yes at times some of the surveys seem to take forever but they do in fact build up quite nicely. I have a few that I have nearly reached payout amount on and will request in December to give me a bit extra for January, the extra sales LOL. I do a lot where I receive a product to test too and these are great as you get to keep the product and get paid quite well for it. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi there ellie333! You must have been very happy to have had made those purchases. I would have been delighted if I had the same experience. I love Marks & Spencer products! I wish they could do some sale here in the Philippines though. Well, they actually do but the products available on sale are not my type. It's great to be able to buy products at discounted prices. Hi Dolce-vita, If I had shopped the day before M&S had a 25% off one day sale so would have saved even more but I was working so couln't. I am really pleased with all my purchases and remembered I got a pair of gloves too that I didn't put on the list. I guess your online earnings are mounting up. Hello Ellie! Wow, your online earnings sound like they are coming in very handy! Good for you, congrats on all of that. You sound like quite the thrify lady, very impressive, I think. I usually just intermingle my online earnings with other money I'm saving. This month I received a decent payout from a writing website and it was pretty exciting. It sounds like you will have all your Christmas shopping done without spending much money. I did order a 1 year subscription to a magazine about going green called, "Plenty" for free through an internet offer. The first issue arrived and it's pretty interesting. That was an internet freebie. My latest bargains were probably the back to school deals I got this past August, notebooks for 10 cents, folders for 5 cents. One store even gave away 10 folders to each person who asked!!
