everyone prefers the timing at which they want to travel long distances, either day or night. i always preferred travelling at night because it is just so cool and calm at night, also travelling in day means a lot of noise, pollution and tiredness to me. frankly speaking at day travelling makes my health worst. so tell what you prefer for travelling-day or night (for long distances )

well i like travelling in the day. it is because you can see the nature around you, so clear and so near. you wont have this opportunity to look at the scenic beauty at night.

My husband and I like to travel in the very early morning, perhaps 5 or 6 o'clock in the morning. As he's driving, he thinks it's easier and not so tired to drive in the early morning. Driving under the hot sun makes him feel sleepy always. Also, I like to travel in the early morning where the air outside is fresh, and it's still very quiet and peaceful on the highway. Traveling at night is fine for us too, as it's always quiet and peaceful, except that it's a bit dangerous to travel in dark. I am not sure if this is considered as day or night traveling, but definitely I don't like to travel when the sun has come out.

For me, it's good to travel in the daytime, but when it's a long trip in a plane or bus or boat, we have no choice actually. Night time is good as long as the weather's fine and there is no turbulence on a plane. Sleeping on a long trip on a ship is relaxing, especially if the weather is good and you see landscapes during the day.

When I was a child, we would always travel at night. We would get all packed up, all the kids in their PJ's, plenty of snacks on hand, and we were ready to go. We would usually leave home about nine or ten at night, and arrive at our destination about six or seven in the morning. I loved those long trips. Now when my husband and I travel, we usually travel in the day and arrive at night. The last long trip we went on was to Niagra Falls, in Canada, we arrived there about ten at night, it was beautiful though to see the falls at night when we arrived.

If I'm driving, I travel by night. If I'm a passenger, it doesn't matter to me when it is.

It depends on what mode of transportation I will take and how long is the travel. I usually travel at dawn when I have to take it by air and night time if bus trip more than 2 hours trip. I like to ride in an airplane early morning so I can still do a lot of things for the day when I get to a place. By a bus, nice to have night trip so I can just sleep and rest along the way.

Yeah as you said, nights are silent and cool, i also like travelling during the night times mostly, i dont prefer to travel long distances in the day time at all mainly because it will be almost hot in the day time and we feel quite tired too as far as i am concerned. Hence, I think nights are best times to travel and we can enjoy ourselves making a calm and peaceful journey ahead. I think many people prefer travelling in the night more then in the day.

I prefer traveling at night. It seems as if there is less cars on the road. We also seem to get there a little earlier. So I would prefer traveling at night anytime than in the day.

If i'm driving, then in daylight for sure. lol Otherwise, i'm not overly picky. There are less people on the road at night. I'd probably say anywheres from 6am-midnight would be ideal. Of course, on a train or bus it doesnt really matter, i'll just sleep thru it.

I like travelling in both day and night. im a traveller. No matter how tired I am if im travelling by car, bus, plane etc. I will not fall asleep. I like staying up to see the sights so just in case I ever pass that way again ill know my way. I just love travelling. But if I had to choose which time is my best time to travel, I would have to say travelling during the day would be better. First you can see better and depends on where your going whe. you get there you will have more to do before night time.

I like to travel by day so that way when I get to my destination I can fully enjoy the night. The night is very cool and calm and I like the scenery that darkness provides. The nighttime is easily the coolest and it makes me feel secure and safe.

Hi! It depends on the weather actually. If there's snow build-up, I would rather travel in the morning. Generally, I like night time better, here in the States. You're right, it's cool and calm. There's no traffic build-up, either. When I am driving, since I have a problem with my night vision, I would rather travel in the morning. I am usually the passenger here in the States, since I have not received my driver's license yet, so I love the night time! Happy myLotting!

I am afraid of night when I was a child. I dare not to go out and even days. But now I am an adult and I never afraid of anything including ghost.:) In fact now I like to play with my friend to go out for traveling but never went in a far visit. We just go out near us.

Hi suntuu.... For me the choice would be definitely day if i have a good company for the travel.... I have nurtured long distance traveling as one of my hobby....Traveling in train makes it even more enjoyable...U get to see all the world that u are traversing, all the people & events that u are passing & all the nature that u are crossing through out your journey, That makes ur journey even more interesting & memorable...I agree that travel in night hour goes calm & quiet but again it is also event less as it wont be in a day travel....waht say?

I prefer travelling at night with all the lights, and not much traffic and it never seems to take so long.I can nod off and relax as a passenger of course ,you might have guessed I am a none driver.Public transport definately during the day as I feel threatened at night espeically on the train.
