Who would you save from a sinking ship?

A ship is sinking, 4 people is in the ship, a BABY, your GRANDMOTHER, your BESTFRIEND, and your GIRLFRIEND. You have a ability to save one, who among them would you save? And why?

i would throw my grandmother in a lifeboat, grab the baby and tell my best friend to save my girlfriend.

You have a good point and a good thinking to save all of them. But actually, my point here is and what I'm really trying to know is who among the four is most important to be saved. So I'm expecting that your answer is a choice among the four on who do you think is the most important for you to save. Let me just put this way, so the ship is sinking, the four are there. You are in the shore, but you have a magic to save one of them, who would you choose?

Well... let me see. This is a very difficult situation, though. In the reality, I still have my grandmother and I love her very much. A baby is so precious and it is so heartbreaking not to save her. About a best friend, thank god I don't have one. All are just friends and so I don't think I would feel regret if not saving any one of them. About girlfriend, I don't have one because I am a woman. So I guess it must be my spouse. I am already married so it must be my husband.
After a thorough thinking, I would have to say I want to save my husband first. This is because we are the nearest family member. I don't know the baby so it won't hurt me if I don't save her. To my grandmother, I would have to pray a lot so that I would be given a second chance to save her. She has to be number two in my list because if I think rationally, she is already too old and she will die in several years ahead. But don't think I am cruel, okay? I am not given a choice to save more than one here, so I can't do anything about it.

Yes, it is really a difficult situation. So you choose the GIRLFRIEND, or in your case, your HUSBAND. I think that is a good choice. They said your spouse is your half, because marrying is like "2 become 1". You're married to your spouse because you choose him as the person you want to share the rest of your life with through thick and thin. So you have a point in choosing him. You are the first to choose the GIRLFRIEND. Thanks for your response.

I would have to say that I would save the baby as well. I agree with the fact that the others have more of a chance to fend for themselves and if givin the choice would do the same. Besides if I was there and only one of us could be saved I would want the rescuer to take the baby first and I would take my chances with them getting to me next.

I will only first consider baby or my grandmother. However..i cannot swim, i afraid i cant even save myself....

No, it's not yours, but if you will save him, then it will be yours. Let's assumed that you know how to swim, and you have the life jacket. So your choice is the baby, that's a good choice. Thanks for your response.
