Gallas' recent rants against team mates is just another proof of how bad a captain he has been. Given to this, the last year's dismal behavior on the field... Is it high time for Wenger to replace him with a more worthy captain? What is your say on this? Cheers! Ram

actually i think before we answer this question we should think if wenger has any other suitable candidate for captaincy. the person has to be influential, calm and able to lead his team on the field. There must be some reason for wenger to choose gallas and also if there is changes, it may not be necessarily good for the team so there are too many factors to consider. but if i am managing arsenal i would not choose him as a captain

you are right chiaeugene , there is no one else who can take the captaincy from gallas. most of the players in the team are still really young. so gallas is the one to hold on to the captaincy. the team is in a very inconsistant phase and they require good leadership to improve. happy mylotting!!!!

I guess Wenger will pass the mantle to either Fabregas or Almunia.

That's a fantastic point you raise chiaeugene. But, I think given the amount of things Fabregas has achieved at a young age, I think this might just be another stepping stone for the youngster. Also, I think that would be one for the future as Fabregas can be there for nearly a decade to come and that would be a great way for Arsenal to move forward. Cheers! Ram
