Did anyone noticed how ill our mother Earth is? Drastic climate changes is just one of the effects of people's neglect to the environment. Most of us do not notice it, but simple candy wrapper thrown into a canal can cause a lot of damage to the community and to the environment, as a whole. Imagine, if every one of us will throw just one candy wrapper into the canal, great environment disaster will befall on us all. What have you done to avert such a disaster?
In my own small way, we emphasized waste segregation at home. Recyclable materials are kept to be used later, while non-recyclable ones are thrown into garbage bins. Biodegradable materials, like waste vegetables, are thrown into my small vermiculture. Another way is by not using more electricity at home. Using electricity generates more heat that also contributes to the global warming, and minimizing the use of, say, electric fans, can reduce heat generation to the environment. Not only does helping the earth becomes cooler, you also help lower your electricity bills.
If you have some experiences that is worth sharing, please share it here.

Hi there Dmoleman!
I am from Aklan and Typhoon Frank devastated our capital and that is my experience of the current state of our nature. As you have mentioned, drastic climate changes is one of its manifestation and that's what happens a lot here, even in the province.
We do waste segregation at home and I hope that more people will do that too. It will help our environment a lot.

Hello nanayangel! I am from Davao City, and although, we do not experience calamities that you have experienced in Aklan, but I feel that Davao City is not spared of it. Davao City is much more cooler in early 90's than today. Flashfloods hit the neighboring provinces, like in Malita, Davao del Sur, a few days ago, and in Bansalan, a few months back, and this was caused by the rampant cutting of trees. Everyone must be vigilant so that disasters like this will not happen again.
