Ha ha ha....cupid only you could start such a discussion....thank God you did not mention spiders.....the most scary insect for me. Well when I was in India, I had all these nightmeres around me.....specially the lizards were so fat and ugly and sometimes I had to disturb my hubby in the middle of the night to kill them. Here in Israel we don't see much insects.I was surprised when I saw a fish market without a single fly. only recently due to over population of Russians, we see some lane's messy and dirty, so some flies here and there. Cockroaches yes....not many but in summer we see few.....so we spray them and send them away to heaven..., mosquitoes rarely and rats also rarely. But I remember few years ago,two big rats entered our house from the nearby by building works and that was the time when my hubby was in India and I was alone with children. Don't ask me what a battle it was till we could get rid of them. One of them even tried to share my bed in absence of my hubby....lol........What a nightmare........you see your discussion give me creeps........

Hi Aps.....So the secret is now out of the bag.....And thanks to Cupie for paving the way for that...I am sure Aps's hubby shifted to Israel because she is afraid of all these pests, and he had to spent sleepless nights gurading her from them.......So he chose the best way out......hats of to him,he is a wise man....... And cupie the rats knew Aps's hubby was away because it was calm and quite in her bedroom....There was no snoring to drive them away......So they probably ventured into the room to investigate the matter......

Hi Cupid, Are you going to take census of these animals. If yes, then I think you may face difficulties but I am glad to help you. In our home, there are cockroaches, lizards and rats (small)and mosquitoes are rare we can see only one or two when season changes (summer to winter and vice versa). At my native place we can find out more animals, like snakes, spiders. Please don't think that snakes are living in house, they are just wandering the courtyards or gardens. Definitely there are more flies and insects around the house you know why, there are lot of trees and plants around the house so naturally all the creatures are available especially mosquitoes.

Well, I first told about my home where presently I am residing and secondly I told you about the village where I born and brought up (and I forget to add frog's name, there are different types, green and brown). If you want the numbers then it may take ages (lol) because I have to count here and then travel to may native place to finish my counting. So do you have patience?

We do have a lot of mosquitoes around. If I see a cockroach I will go around the whole house with the spray can to make sure there are no more around. A couple of lizards are seen playing around in the hall during the day. They disappear at night - either resting or too scared of me to come around.... If I see a frog around you will be sure I will not be there for a second more....

Frogs are plenty in the rainy season but luckily I have not seen any jump up buildings. And I would never wish to see one too.

Hi cupid,I dont know if its the title you have chosen ,or the topic, but I can feel goose flesh all over me,when writing this comment.........Well these house hold pests are common in most places, but the way you have described it I feel that your house may be like the Jurassic park with all these creatures crawling about, and makes me wonder how your family will fit in between all these creatures.....And the only thing missing are the garden snakes...Did you forget them,or you dont have them? In my apartment there are plenty of lizards, few cockroaches and no mosquitoes,or rats. But there are pigeons who sit on the balcony, and the other day I even saw an owl......

Ho Rose thanks for ur response Ahh i never knew i sound like that, or i potray myhouse as mini zoo!!! Ok let me elaborate, We do have Lizards, but they are either in car porch, or outside walls, where they have their feed, mosquitoes. if some lizrad sneak in the house or room, then i have to make sure that SHE leave immediately. We dont have mosquitoes, house fly and spiders inside Home as we have all doors and window with mesh. some times some frogs sneak in but then they have to run as my son is fast after them to catch them We do have some covkroaches in home Outside in car porch and lawn, we do have lot more things like burtflies, drago fly, crickets etc but sure not Garden Snakes but few earthworms. Is it Ok Hmmm, i wonder why ur apartment have lizards and cockroaches as its new on and u live quite at top. but sure its nuce to have pigeons at balcony and sure u domt mind owl as well. take care

Hi rose Well the only repellent i know about lizards are scared off are "Stick" so i guide them out by stick or kill them. This is standing instruction of my wife and sisters too, as they can easily scream if lizard is around, LOL. so try it Take care

Hi cupie..mimi zoo so ok,but jurassic park is scary........ Tell me how do you keep lizards away? They dont react to insect repellents..we have many of them here, which usually come from the lift shaft..The place is dark and very romantic for lizards and even rats, though only the lizards visit the flats........ But we have no mosquitoes here, and that's a real blessing......Cockroaches are rare thanks to the repellants I use..............
