I Hate Medicine Smell...

Same here, I hate the smell of medicines, when I was a kid I used vomit immediately after swallowing a tablet and even growing up I fainted a couple of times when they took blood samples. So I think people were right about the proverb "Prevention is better than cure"

I dislike medicine smell but not all the medicines. I mean there are some medicines that smell good. Anyway, I do not have problem entering hospitals. You can say i am immune to smell.

Frankly a lot of cancer patients do. My son and my younger sister were both diagonised with cancer two years ago, but our gratefulness goes to God and the Doctors and all the staff at the hospital, and my older sister for their support and help. Both are fine now. Both of them hate entering the hospital (they have to go for check ups). There is no medicine smell there, but still they just hate it. It reminds them of the treatment taken.

I detest hospital stench too; it makes me feel sicker, which is why I hardly go to Doctors unless I am in danger of dying, which has never happened, thankfully. Cheers and happy mylotting

I am not big on doctors or hospitals. As a young child I saw the hospitals as a place where my older relatives went to be very ill or die. That thought together with the smell memories stayed with me as I grew. I still to this day do not like to go there, even though I do when I need to visit friends and relatives. I find it amazing what early childhood thoughts and memories can do to your thoughts through your life.

as i m totally agree with you..i hate to take medicines....and i also avoid to take it because of their foul taste and smell...i feel very bad when i some how go to hospital...

I am...I definitely hate the smell of medicine especially after opening our medicine box. It has a smell of different medicine put together and it is absolutely awful for me. As for the hospital, I prefer not go there because I feel more sick when I am in there. My brother was administered in a public hospital before and I was task to be his companion. The smell of different disinfectant, medicine and dextrose put together is really something I am not used to but I have to stay there because of my brother. Luckily, after just two days my brother was released from the hospital and I haven't taken a foot back to the hospital since then.

Hi friend,I don't like to go to hospitals too.Infact,I hate to go but yesterday I had to since I am having fever continuously for three days.I got not option but to see a doctor.He was not available in his clinic, so need to rush to hospital.The very smell of medicines made me feel like puking.I felt more sick out there then when I was at home in bed.Anyways,I have to go back after 4 days,wish me luck,I don't want any injections.Happy posting!

i never had problems with hospital or smell of medicines. because i am alien i have been in and out of hospital many times, not for me. its for others. while in college we had to carry friends who were injured to hospital, its we who had always taken the initiative. so staying around in the hospital wards we got used to those and became immune to it.

You are different I think so..... coz, most of the person don't like the medicine smell..... I don't like the medicines.... if I was sick, I ask doctor to put injection rather giving me the tablets and capsules...... I ask him whether is there any syrup or tonic which smells good for that particular disease......???? I request him not to give any tablets for me..... coz, I don't like the tablets smell/////

I absolutely agree with you. I feel like puking whenever I smell the medicines. The very thought of hospital makes me sick. I know it might seem to be a little selfish but I avoid going to visit my friends or relatives in the hospital. But I give them a visit as soon as they are out of there(of course with apology). But I avoid going to the hospitals as far as possible.
