Do you Prefer TouchScreen or Keypad?

i'm using keypad for now but i'm always fascinated how the touchscreen works... one day, i will buy the touchscreen phone for sure...

Hello, sdas86. I'd rather use a keyboard than a touch screen. I am already used to the keyboard and mouse, I would not change it. I'm skilled at it, and changing it would make me uncomfortable. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

This is a good question :) My phone is a Palm Centro so I have both. I do all my typing on the keypad just because I've gotten used to the layout so it is much faster. I use the touchscreen on web pages and navigating through them It's the best of both worlds :)

I prefer the keypad as well. Im just afraid to destroy the touch pad with the stylus or with my thumbs by pressing too hard and it would be much more costly for the repairs if ever I do destroy it. With keypads, at least when the numbers and letters are scratched out from over use or a number might not be working properly you can just change the pad itself or for more serious cases have a quick fix in the shop. Keypads also allow the thumbs to type faster than the touch pad.

I've had a phone with a touch screen and a normal key pad and I prefer the touch screen. The phones I've used with touch screen have been faster and easier to use than a normal phone. I've have the Nokia A1000 and the LG Viewty and loved them both. You have to make sure they keep the screen scratch free though or you will find them harder to use. I drapped my Viewty when I was moving into my house and ended up with a big scratch down the front of it. After that I had some trouble scrolling down the screen and some letters when I was writing a text message.

Keypad is still the best for me :-p i can 'type' very fast but cant 'tocuh' very fast..huh..

I haven't use a touchscreen cellphone before, but I'd prefer using the keypad. As I can use one hand to hold the phone and press the key, whereas if I'm using touchscreen, I don't think I am able to do this. I'd prefer the easier one.

Touchscreen is a new thing and it will take time to adapt the same for me. I prefer keypad and I can type at a very good speed with keypad. I have not really used touchscreen extensively on Laptop etc., but it appears to me, it may not be very easy or convenient.

I just got a touch phone in the summer, and I like it a lot. It's just harder to text without looking now like when I'm in class and don't want a teacher to know I'm on my phone. Lol.

It same with me too. I like key pad better because to me its easier to use than touchscreen. no offense to tose who like touchscreen better. I am just probably used of using the keypad.

Hello,sdas86.I think I have the same sense with you.I don't like touch screen because of its insensitive,even my touch screen phone I can't use it very well.Almost every time,I use the keypads to type letters.Perhaps my phone is too old,but I bought it only four months age.

i prefer key pad since i have big sets of fingers it would be easy for me if i will use key pad rather than touchscreen.

touchscreen maybe the current in thing. and I must say it makes the hand phone looks classy. But i still prefer keypad handphone because touch screen hand-phone's screen is harder to maintain the cleanliness. And sometimes the touch screen of some hand phone models aren't so sensitive. So it's not that easy to use. I think the touch screen makes the hand phone more vulnerable to problems(i haven't proved this though).

i like to use touch pad because its very easy to write messages and also u can draw a pictures and its very hard to type the keyboard for me so and i feel fascinated by using toch pad

it is the same for me. i also prefer a keypad over a touch screen . sometime back my roommate used to own a nokia 6708. it had a touch screen and also a keypad. but he always used to have some problems with the touch screen. may be that's because he seldom used the stylus that was provided with the set. often he used his fingers or ball pens to scroll. may be that caused teh problems. but since then i have a negative impressions on touch screen , so i never get one. also using teh touch screen needs care in handling which i cannot. so keypad is fine with me.

I dont have touch screen cellphone because i cant affort it.I think it is not that important at all for cellphone is mainly use for communication and not for for other features. I guess the added features in the cellphone makes it more expensive and more complicated to use.

i would choose keypad because i just have this feeling that it is more reliable. You actually press something. As for touch screen, i always have this idea that it spoils more easily as compared to the keypad. However with that being said, technology is now heading towards the touch screen era. Most of the cell companies have now implement this technology into their cell phones

I prefer keypads too. You feel that you have 'pressed' your option and can 'feel' that you've done it. You don't even need to look at the screen to check!

I like key pad because it has long life than touch screen and it is also very hard than touch screen touch screen easily gets damaged when it drops down and it's its too sencitive even for playing games key pad is better and we feel comfortable with key pad only so i pefer key pad only
