Why is it some people have to be so ignorant..not sure if that is the right word.... I found a really cool site that you can make snowflakes on...I was catching a snowflake and when I saw the message the person left...I was so appalled... This person was so vulgar, the written language they used was just disgusting... It is a really neat site...and yes there are millions of snowflakes and yes I guess I just had to have caught that particular nasty flake.. But come on...There is no reason to leave such a disgusting message... What are your thoughts?

The secrecy of the virtual world is a haven for many sick minds to smear every thing with dirt and filth.Got to ignore them as they make only a small percentage. There are plenty of good people still in the world.

Hi Feona, I really don't get it either. There are so many problems in this world, and these types of people are at the root of them. Unfortunately as I'm sure you already know, there are a few such individuals right on this site. Almost without exception, they seem to take great pleasure in belittling others, and just being downright rude. This is evident in discussions they've started, as well as their responses. I see you're not going to be deterred from enjoying this site you've found, though. Good for you! You've actually made me curious about the snowflakes. Would you mind PM'ing me the link, if you get the chance? Thanks.

I think the internet is more of an outlet then ever for people who just want to be vulgar. Some of them might just be respectful people , but just need something, an anonymity so that they can vent in any way possible.

I know of that site you are talking about. I have created a snowflake there. But have never seen a bad comment before. I am sorry some has done that to you. Is there a way you can report them on that site for doing so and ask for the comment to be removed? I am sure if they are doing it to you, they have doen it to others as well.

Hi rusty.. The actual snowflake wasn't intended solely for me...They just randomly fall from the sky and I just happened to catch that one... I did email the site but they don't take emails...so I am going to try another way.. I wrote the flake number down and the girls name and the state she put on the flake...that way they can look it up and delete it...

Some people, especially young people, like to be as shocking as possible when they won't get caught. Its a sad thing, but it was like the kid that spray painted on our house and sidewalk, and the local bridge, LONG before tagging became a thing to do, thought he wouldn't get caught... except that one of his friends happend to be one of mine too and turned him in!

It seems like there are millions of people out there that take great pleasure in bringing their vulgarities and perverted sense of joy into the path of those who enjoy the pure and simple joys. For some reason their version of "fun" is bringing revulsion and disgusting. These are the people that were possibly raised in an abusive home, or simply didn't have parents that loved them and simply had them because it was the thing to do. These were the type parents that had lives that were more important than being there for their children. So, we are now having several generations of people who are unfeeling and uncaring as their parents seemed to be towards them. Now, they will do these obscene things to draw attention to themselves and feel good about lashing back at people, and hopefully their own parents. What is sad is that the censors have opened up the movies, television and other forms of media to promote the negativity that you experienced on this site. You listen to the "Rap" songs (they are no more songs than the toilet flushing!) but it promotes hate, rage, violence and every other word seems to be the "f**k" word. I remember that you seldom heard that word, yet now it is so common place that you don't see people getting upset about it. My own son in law used the word liberally in his daily speech. I find it not only a sign of ignorance but to me it is repulsive. We now have two choices. We can either react in a way that reinforces the joy of the person who did the idiot thing, and satisfy his or her need for retaliation; or we can ignore the choice the person made and chalk it up to their not only being very ignorant, but also very unhappy. I realize the latter is the hardest to do, but it's like when a child throws a tantrum. If you pay attention the child milks it for all it's worth. If we ignore them and walk off it surprises them so much they forget the tantrum and chase after us. I also will add that I grew up with a brother (I use that term for lack of anything else, he was no more a brother to me than a rock!) who was abusive, negative, foul mouthed, mean and you can add all the negative adjectives you want because he was all that and more. He physically and sexually abused me, and I didn't dare go to my parents because he really would have killed me. His greatest pleasure in life was to remove other's pleasures in life. He is the kind of person that would do that kind of snowflake on that site. My parents both worked and didn't have that much time for us. He grew up being so totally hateful while I went to the other side, giving as much love and joy as possible. I am soooo sorry that you experienced what you did, I would recommend that you try to find out the creators of the site and inform them of what was posted.

Hi Loverbear.. I agree 110 percent with everything you've said.. I am saddened to know that you went through hell as a child.. There were secrets in our home that were never told...I was able to get out when I was 18... I did email the sight but that address isn't taking emails..so I am going to try a different route.... I feel sorry for those that can't respect themselves enough to not have to do this type of stuff.. Hugs to you Loverbear....

Oh no, is it the one I gave the link to? Popular Front? I haven't seen any bad things in the messages, I wonder if the site would ban that kind of think if they knew about it? Because replying to the persons snowflake probably would only flame the fire if you know what I mean...

Simply some people have nothing better to do with their time. The person who did that clearly knows that the site is not just open to adults but to children as well. Some people are just losers that they feel some sense of accomplishment i suppose. As you said to another response on your discussion it was 1 among millions. As sick as that person's action was it is just easier to ignore such people rather than spend your energies fretting about someone not worth your time.

Personally unfortunately even in here you will from time to time encounter people who are like this. It is really a shame though, and it does make you wonder for sure. I know I cannot ever imagine being like this to anyone online and why in a site everyone else can read the remarks would someone want to say something like this as well? Glad I am not in the site.

I believe that some people think that being vulgar is a way to get attention. It is really to bad that people have to be that way. In my opinion vuglar language is very discusting and show just how low a person can go. They are so insecure that they want other people to feel bad too. The only thing you can do is just skip it and go on.

I know what you mean...I doubt I will come across it again...There are over 7 million flakes..what are my chances that I would catch that one again? I didn't respond to it, because there is no reason too! It is sad to think that is what their life is about... Thank you dee...

With the world wide web some people say things they would otherwise not even dare to say in person. The www gives people a kind of courage to do what they won't in real life and it really makes me wonder. That said, I do believe I know the site you're speaking about, and I only catch those flakes meant for me...

Sometimes I wonder how people grow to act nasty or speak that way. Where they like me young and nieve and wanting to vent. See what it felt like and it just stuck cause you had a rotten day? WHo knows..Sometimes rotten thinking and mouthing off is just a small man on a todem pole. Tired of looking up!.lol
