Is the grass truly greener on the other side?

Do you hate your life or think it's really frustrating, how about other people, do you ever stop and think how they have it, how it could always be worse then what your going through, do you take things for granted like the air you breathe or a place to lay your head? Sometimes I wonder what others are going through, I'm not so sure if they have it good or bad I just know we are all human and things do come our way that we have to deal with. What do you think?

No, I don't think grass is greener on the other side. People tend to make themselves think it will be. As people seem to need to be looking forward to something. I do not hate my life. It can be frustrating. But i try and see the positive side of it. I look at it this way..it could be worse.

I think we all think at times how better others have it, the grass does look greener on the other side at times but that is only because we are seeing to good part mostly, there is also the saying of behind closed doors. I am single and sometimes I think sad about that and i see married couples how happy they are and so on but when I go visit any of my married friends I come home and think how lucky I am...a couple of my married female friends often say to me when we are alone how lucky I am to be free but then they are not there when i am feeling alone...so I guess the grass does seem greener to everyone...

I agree, if we don't have something already we pretty much want it and I think it's the same as saying you don't know what you have until you lose it

I think this all boils down to a matter of perspective for me. Whenever we are in a certain situation, no matter how good it might be, we as humans have it in our nature not to be satisfied, and we tend to believe that others have it better than us. Hence we want what others are having and we say that the grass is greener on the other side. But when we do get what we are hankering for, we might be satisfied for a short while, but assuredly, we will soon start to want back our old awy of life, or even want something different or better. We will start looking fo better alternatives again and this cycle will keep continuing. I think that phrase really holds true, and is a perfect reflection of how we as humans, are never satisfied with what we have, and we will always crave for more or something better.

The grass isn't greener. Well maybe over the septic tank it is...
There is an old story about people complaining to the king that their problems are the worst.
So this king decides to take everyone's problems then reassign them. Everyone got a different set of problems. After a few days everyone came back and begged for their original problems back. They found out that whatever their problems were, they were used to them, could deal with them and others had it worse in their opinion.
I have my set of problems, but I wouldn't want anyone else's. I have back problems, depression and a bunch of other health problems. I've also had many really bad and traumatic things happen in my life. I won't bore everyone with the complete list.
My best friend is blind. She manages just fine, but I would find that really hard to deal with. I love to read. I love color. I love to see really good choreography in movies.
I have several friends with MS. They find it hard to do things. Even harder than I do.
I have a few friends in wheelchairs. We are working to make our town more wheelchair friendly, but there are still problems. Not every place or thing is wheelchair accessible. The bus to the next town isn't.
I have a few friends who aren't the brightest candle on the cake. I would freak without my above average intellect. I like being extra smart. My less gifted friends don't realize that they are just normal.
The worst problem in the world according to me is to be allergic to animals. And to have it non treatable. I can't live without animals. I would freak if I couldn't have a house full of furry animals. I have 2 dogs and 15 cats at this time.
I'm highly allergic to grass (9.8 on a scale of 0-10), but I take pills every day and manage nicely.
I'll keep my problems no matter how bad they are. Thank you.

I'm not hate myself. You cannot hate yourself. Every human have different life. Always think positive. Sometimes people will look at us and say how lucky we are. But the truth is,.. only we know ourself. Do you ever heard people says that, human will not satisfied what they have because they always think what they don't have yet. hehe.. ~~wink~~
