Which do you find better? the movie or the book written by Stephenie Meyer?
I really don't have the book.. but an E-book.. the movie will be shown here in the Philippines i think in the near few couple of days.. So I really don't know if the movie will be more likely to be close from what is written on the book.. who knows.. there might be a lot of cuts..
I just really didn't finish yet reading the E-book, I just downloaded an audio book for me to listen to it whenever, wherever.. so that I could finish it before I watch the movie.. and from there.. I'll be making my comparisons..
so.. who did already watched the movie? any reactions towards what's on the book?

the book is so-so.although it offers a fresh view on vampires, it is a major love story. And it can get tiring, believe me.
the movie is even worse. it is so dull. and edward's eyes aren't tantalizing here at all.
best to stick to book for maximum imagination. how is the audio book?

Sorry, I have neither seen movie nor read the book. Therefore, I can't comment no. However, I'd try to watch it as soon as possible.

for a good measure, don't expect too much on the movie
the book has funny quips which i don't think will be noticeable in the movie
i have already heard some reviews which really, obviously, came from non-readers... anyway, i will be glad if i have enough dose of rob pattinson's face in the movie, that way, i could imagine edward more clearly, up to the last slightest smirk...
it's pretty foreign to me, a vampire that could feel, i mean i'm used to anne rice's vampires... pure visual pleasures and not much about the touching, except when they feed of course

I really like it more the books because you can find more details in the book and i cant find this in the movie.... In the books i can imagine all the things i read and in the movie i just see the things a couple of minutes and my mind doesnt imagine lol. Well i really like the books... ;) Have a nice day and see you ;)

I watched it, living in the states. I thought it was a good adaptation of the book, even though they did have to make some minor scene changes here and there but I thought the actors did a great job portraying the characters. And I don't think people can really make a fair comparison between the movie and the book, because if they did show every little thing that the fans wanted them to put in the movie, it would take a lot longer than the two hours it runs for. .

I haven't seen the book yet!!!! Boohoohoo! I have both the book and the ebook and I will definitely see the movie when it opens in theaters this Wednesday. The movie actually has mixed reviews but I really liked the book so maybe I'll be a bit disappointed with the movie. But having Robert Pattison as the star will surely make it much more enjoyable. :)

I've only seen the movie but it was exhilarating and maybe one of the best movies I've ever watched! I went with about 10 people: and sat next to two who read the book. They generally liked the movie, but it was only "okay". They also commented that its almost impossible to make a movie on a book so great, but the only problem is that by reading it first, they've imagined the characters in their own way so the movie seemed odd or wrong. With me, I had no prior opinion or vision of the characters so it was mind blowing, romantic, and beautiful.

Hmmm well im going to try and be nice about the movie if that is possible. Ok never mind the movie was horrible. I felt no connection between Bella and Edward! Nothing at all. It was like wow we just met, next scene oh my god im so in love with you.....umm come on now. And they changed so much around. I would have to say the most upsetting part is when she sees him in the sunlight. They absolutely ruined that! For being such an important big part in the book and to change it...come on now. Also the acting was horrible, especially the hospital scene. No no no come on now learn how to act!!!!!!!!! The movie was really a disappointment. And honestly i believe you cant turn the saga into movies due to the deep dialogue and description that goes into it. If you just watch the movie, you never see the deep seeded love that they have for each other. The endless conversations and the kisses that mean everything to them, even though they only last mere seconds due to the thirst and erratic heartbeat and near fainting of Bella. Seriously i would not recommend the movie unless you want a disappointment. Stick to the books, because honestly the movies will never be good unless they can be 5 hours long to go into every detail and thought that Bella has....thats what makes the story.
