How many of you are old hat veterans of Associated Content? How long have you been on the site? What is your clout rating?
I started my fourth year in August and I'm an 8. And it's my own fault. I don't promote my content like I could and I write one maybe two articles a month, if I'm really lucky. Like with anything else, the more you put in the more you get back and lately I haven't been putting as much in. Do you notice that in your own participation on the site?

I adore the page view bonus! Last month was my biggest one yet... and this month, I'm pretty close to what I had last month, so I just might pass it up this month too! It's a nice residual income and it's going to be great extra money for Christmas!

AC started in Nov 2004, so you're a little off your timeline. They didn't even hit their fourth year until this month, so you can't have started your fourth year in August. Maybe some days it just feels longer? LOL With AC, there ARE those days! I've been with them for 2 1/2 years... some ups, some downs, but I'm still plugging with them, for the most part. I reached clout 10 right around my first anniversary with them and last month, I exceed 1 mill page views, with fewer than 340 articles.
That all aside, I do find that when I am more active and putting up something new every now and then, my page views do go up in a little surge. Being active does help keep page views 'fresh'. I sure do love that performance bonus though!
How many articles do you have now?

Awwwww, thanks, Randy! I enjoy AC in general. Have a good time there most of the time. As for taking it to the bank - that's what I do with my performance bonus! Good to see you over here. I don't stop in here much anymore, but every now and then I check to see if I have any pennies...LOL

Oh... No you're right. I started my third year in August. I don't know what I was counting.
I have 92 articles up and they come in spurts. Sometimes I'll post three or four in a month, sometimes I'll go a couple of months with nothing. Lately I've been in a real slump and all of my writing has been toward creating my grad school portfolios.
I can't even imagine getting to 10 in a year. That's pretty amazing. I am at roughly 8 1/2, when I calculate it out.

I am no veteran. I've only been at AC for about 9 months, so I guess I'm still concidered an ametuer. With only 15 or so articles (maybe its mre now?) I have a clout 4. I really don't promote my content. Every couple months I post about my articles here at MyLot and watch my page views jump, but that's about it. You are right, though, the more you put into anything, the more you will see come out of it.
