New Year 2009 is ALMOST there,are You READY?

I am not ready. For one thing, I don't want to be one year older anyway! As you know, it sounds weird to say that today is blur..blur.. 2009!

Yes, it is really almost there. so my plan for next year is to find a job. A good paid job so that i can pay all my family debts and give the future to my son and siblings hehehe and i can give a special gift to my hubby on his birthday. I we going to start finding the place where we going to settle down after we retired. Happy posting.

I'm as ready as I can be. I have a new boy friend this year. This will be our first Christmas and New Years together. I can see it being a lot of fun and I can't wait to see what it brings. I have no idea what we are doing this year, but we both just moved in together so maybe this year we will have the party at our house. I have only lived in Winnipeg for 2 years in feb 09 so I don't know to many people. He will probably have his friends and family over and I will invite a few friends I made during the school year. If we don't have a party here we are mainly house party type people so I'm sure well end up at someones place for a get together. I usually like cooking so I might try for a New Years dinner/ party instead of a Christmas meal. I am so glad 2008 is almost over. It was one of my worst years out of the 22 I've lived. But then again it has also been the most amazing year of my life and I couldn't be happier. I'm going to be sad to see it go but I have so much to look forward to now that I hope next yeanr doesn't go so fast like this year has. I also hope that next year is filled with just as much joy and a little less with the sadness part. I think everyone will be happy in the new year. Everyone seems to have a fresh look upon things. So there's just one more thing to look forward to. As for have I done everything that I wanted to do this year. I think this year my main goal was to find happiness. The year before was weight loss and the year before was a few things. I think every year we set ourselves goals some un reachable but still on the list to do. When we finish these things we feel a sense of accomplishment that is a really good feeling to have. If we give our selves reasonable goals I think everyone would be happier with there new years resolutions. :)

This is a great post, Iliaaz! I stopped setting goals years ago. It seems that no one ever accomplishes everything they've set out to do in any certain year; at least I know it's been that way for me practically my entire life. So, I just stopped setting goals or even making New Year's resolutions. To me, it's just the start of a new year and means that I have another $1,000.00 worth of dental benefits! LOL It's also about the time I start thinking about my new garden for Spring. I enjoy seeing the new year come in but I always do it by watching TV. I don't like being out on that night because you just KNOW there will be a lot of drunks on the road! I stay up, wait for the new year, then go to bed.

i cant WAIT!! 2008 has been an AWFUL year and so im ready for 2009 and it better be better!!
