My IP Shows I am On Clanton.......???

When your IP shows you are in the US while you are actually in Karachi, Pakistan, then there are two possible reasons to this. 1) The software used needs to be updated, especially if there were changes made by your Internet service provider. This happened to me. After about three weeks of being offline, I was surprised to see my IP address had changed completely. I tried switching the modem off and on but I still get the prefix 115 instead of 60. One online software could not trace where I was, One got the location in East Malaysia whereas I live in West Malaysia. One said I was in Kuala Lumpur. Not quite, but close enough. Several websites recognised me as being in Australia.... 2) Your computer, and this is the most likely reason, your computer has been hijacked. If this happens switch off your modem and wait for a few minutes before switching it back on. Check your IP address. My computer was at different times under the control of China, Taiwan, Korea, Nigeria, France, and the USA.
