I only partly agree. Self-confidence is important in a sense that, when a student isn't confident about himself, he'll probably do worse than he could, if he had some more self-confidence. But it can also be the other way round: being so self-confident it has a negative influence on your studying, you believe you're so smart you can do it, that you've studied enough already while you haven't, you become nonchalant in doing tasks and exams. People who aren't self-confident will double check everything, learn stuff again and again, so they'll probably know it better, but they are so nervous they might still fail.

Yeah it is very much helpful but not without some hard knowledge to go with it.

Not totally, but i agree to some extent!!!!!
At some time you should have confidense in you,but not overconfidence!!!!!!!!!!
If you have overconfidence in you at school than your friends will think that you is proudish,selfish..etc..blah blah blah.
So be have confidence in you at appropriate time and situation.

of course. self confidence is must. first he should believe on himself and he should have confidence on him that he can do it then only he will do that work perfectly. but over confident is different from this. over confidence will leads to imperfection only. that too in school days confidence level should be very high to achieve his goal.
