Do you enjoy ragging your juniors at college!!!!!!!!!!

When I was in college,I was viciuosly ragged alomost to the point of tears and quitting.I considered it then a cruel and inhumane system and when my time came to do same to freshmen I refused because I didnt see the need for it.The idea that was advanced by the raggers was that it was a way to bring everyone down to the same level and therefore encourage greater interaction since people tend to bond together during times of hardships.It did help somewhat in the bonding process as I still have friends who I met during ragging that I still consider friends but there are some who I met then that I would never want to be my friends.The fact of the matter is that after the ragging everyone formed their own circle of friends ,irrespective of your ragging partner and those who were insular still maintained their insularity.So even if some assumed characteristics to appease the ragger ,after ragging ,they went back to normal behaviour anyway.Consequently it is my view that everyone should be left to their own mechanisms to determine thier circle rather than be subjected to this brutal imposition. I think ragging should be abolished in the same way salvery was abolished or a the same way a surgeon cauterizes a cancer with skill and alacrity.
