Sprouted grain bread

I was wondering whether anyone heard of sprouted grain bread? I first heard about it in a book about reversing diabetes, and I have been looking to see if there were any loaves available other then in a health food store and what did not imply the use of a grain sprouter - all right if you have a large family and live out in the country, but not if there is just two of you and you live in a small house in the city. So I was wondering if there were any main grocery stores where one could get it? I live in Winnipeg by the way. I do get Weight Watchers and Country Harvest Plus Multigrain when it is on the day old shelf.

I tried. The information I got as it was good, but also that you had to have a sprouter to make your own sprouts and then make the bread. So I guess it is better if you want to get rid of diabetes if you are rich.

Yes, I actually used to eat it all the time when I had to restrict my use of salt because the sprouted bread that was sold in my store was also salt free. But, it was kinda expensive and really not that low in calories. But, I don't know of any main grocery stores that sell it. I don't know if you have Henry's, Whole Foods or Wild Oats in your area, because that's probably who will have it.

I have not bought any, but our grocery store (Krogers) has a health food or whole food shop. It is also called Ezekial Bread. Has a Bible reference. I buy a product called Milton's Healthy Bread when I can get to Sam's club, but it is not a sprouted grain bread. It is yummy though.
