What is your Favorite Movie Genre?

Recently I bought a few new movies and I actually enjoyed all of them. After I watched them I realized that they were all action movies and they actually all had a lot of the same actors in them. The more I thought about the movies I've seen in the past few years I've realized that they are all action adventure movies.
Do you find yourself only watching movies from the same genre or do you enjoy all different types of movies?

My Favorite movie genre is science fiction. I like it best because there is lots of adventure and often some politics. I also like that there are non-pathetic women in science fiction. The one literary genre where we don't have to sit around waiting for men to rescue us.

My favorite genre is horror or movies with really cool special effects but suite me very well and I think they are both really interesting. Some of my favorite horror movies are Thirteen Ghosts and The Cell but they also have some really cool effects in them that I think are really cool as well.

I'm pretty much eclectic in movie tastes. I would watch any popular blockbuster movies, but I will also take the time to watch some obscure foreign and/or independent film. The only type I probably don't watch is horror movies, but that is because I'm such a scaredy cat and gets easily spooked.
However, I do gravitate more towards action-adventure movies. Hubby thinks its funny that I find watching car chases and fight scenes more relaxing than over some tear-jerker chick flick...LOL..but then thats me.

I like most of the genres.Today's romantic comedies make me homicidal and I don't like horror. With that said, I love Mystery and suspense the best. Gibe me a twisting plot and a surprise ending and I am happy. A close second is action films. Give me a scene where something blows up or there is a shoot out, I am a happy camper.

My favourite genre is horror, anything Asian is usually a good start for me. I really like creepy, suspenseful movies, or ones with a deeper meaning that I can think about. Gothic horror is very good as well, if it's by Tim Burton, I know I'll enjoy it.
I do like other genres as well though, cheesy movies from the 80's are always worth a watch, and are usually hilarious! If I have an actor that I really like, I'll usually watch all of their movies, and like them.

I do think that certain actors/actresses have an effect on whether people will watch movies - I think because actors tend to play in the same genres of movies, so if someone likes one movie they are in, they will tend to like a lot of the movies they are in. I enjoy movies from romantic comedies, romantic drama, horror, and comedies and maybe some action films. My favorite though is probably romantic comedies and horror. I LOVE a good chick flick, and I also like to be scared. I can't explain WHY I like to be scared (lol) but I guess I just like a thrill. I hardly go to the theatre to see movies though - too expensive! I like to rent movies from a RedBox since it's only $1/night.

I used to love horror movies only. Especially those about zombies or alot of violent once although they're all kinda like the same the past years so I don't watch them anymore. Whenever a horror movie is released I barely watch it, not interested in them anymore.
Before I liked horror movies I was always into action movies. But I think most of they are very unrealistic and the "hero" always survives. Know what I mean? I gave up on that genre too!
My all time favorite genre is thriller because they are realistic and could happen in real life at any time. It's not always too violent and usualy they have a great story that's really exciting or makes you sit on the edge of your chair all the time.

I only like action movies and comedies. Anything else will bore me to tears. I tried to get into horror movies, but horror movies either have boring plots or they're just unbearably lame.
