How to accept a family member who want to change gender?

I have observed that it is easy to accept someone like a friend, co-worker, colleague etc. if they are gays or lesbians, but it's really hard to accept someone from your family to be one. I'm just confused because I think it should be the family who would accept their members more gladly than anyone else because that's "un"conditional love, right?

I do nothing.If you really accept them, you won't do anything but treat them as they are. You are right, giving "unconditional" love. It was not their fault that they became gay or lesbians. They are not freaks, but normal people like the rest of us.. just a bit different for gender preference but that's it.
