Do you think you are an educated man or a gentleman?

What does a gentleman look like? In my opinion,it has a close connection with an educated man. Firstly,she or he should have precision and correctness in the use of the mother tongue.A sencond trait is that the man have infined and gentle manners.A third trait is that the man should be responsible and honest to others.... In a word,different people have different standard of judging the educated man or gentleman.Well, could you share your view to me.I would appreciate it if you take some minutes for this discussion.Waiting for you.

Perhaps, another quality of a gentleman is modesty, which forbids any gentleman answering this question in the affirmative! all the best urban

It is a good answering . Thank you very much.Modesty and humble, I agree to you, they are the basic trait to a gentleman.However,I wonder why you forbid any gentleman reply this questiong.Different people can share his or her own unique view ,I think.

Hi, I meant that it would not be modest to claim to be a gentleman, therefore anyone claiming to be a gentleman is not one. all the best urban

Well, I beg to differ here. Thogh it is true that education shines through the persona, yet it is also equally true that the appearances are highly deceptive. For example, I remember my thesis advisor did not look an inch to be a college professor. However, his fame was of world repute.

It is a very good comment.Thanks for your reflection.A well educated man doesnt only means education. Apearantly, his or her appearance is superfical.What is the most important is the mature mind and wisom.
