Do you call talking to yourself as crazy or madness?

I have a very strange habit.Do most people talk out loud to themselves when they are alone? When I am home alone, or even in the car,I talk out loud constantly as if I'm speaking to people. I assume most people probably do this. Am I correct?

Although there may be some crazy people that do indeed talk to themselves, I don't believe that it's crazy to talk to yourself, if this makes sense! When I am by myself I stare out the window and I gaze at the roof opposite and normally there's a magpie perched there. I say hi and I have even given it a name! As long as you are not going loopy loo and you remain sane, then I don't see anything wrong with this. Andrew

I don't think its strange if one talks to oneself though normally I only talk to myself when i am alone or by whispering to myself. I don't think its being crazy as it helps one to relate with ones thoughts.

Hi ! Yeah even I have a tendency to talk self . I believe that talking self is a good habit . That implies that one knows himself better . I do it more often sometimes giving ma self reminders of do s n don't s , some time making fun of ma self n many more things i talk self n I suppose its not a problem.

OH MY GOD YES! i couldnt stop if i tried. ive grown up as an only child. and i never had an imaginary friend, just myself. whenever im alone, i talk to myself outloud as if someone is there. when i get cought i feel like a freak! i mean im not talking about when you panic, or when your stressed, or when your figuring something out. i just talk, and talk about everything like there is someone sitting there next to me. ive had this habit ever since i was little. even someone like my mom gets me embarrasssed when i get caught. i feel like i have a disorder or something.
