ABS-CBN beats GMA anytime! LOL
OKay, okay, some of you might not agree with me but I really do think ABS has more quality shows than GMA. We've even noticed here at home that there were several sundays when GMA's SOP wasn't on air, and the screen just showed some announcement about technical problems. For several sundays? And after ASAP on ABSCBN ended the shows on GMA resumed... Was it because they couldn't compete wth ASAP?
There are, however, shows on ABS that I think are just downright corny, or too forced. And there are shows on GMA that are worth watching. I could never part with Bubble Gang. I just looove Angelina!
Anyhoo, I'll always be a Kapamilya thru and thru. Welcome to myLot! =)

hello fellow mylotters, I am a Kapamilya but every now and then, I try to catch a glimpse of what the other networks have to offer. That way I realize what the competition has to offer and it's sad to say that it isn't much, except for a few shows here and there like Bubble Gang.
There also comes a point when I get tired of watching the soaps, when the characters and the storyline gets irritating, when I just switch the channel to 5 or just play an old dvd. When there's really nothing worth watching I just switch it off.
Anyway I like ABS better...

Hi! I live in the States now, but even when I was in the Philippines, I would always watch ABS-CBN shows for the major reason being that the reception is so much better. The screen is very clear, and I can easily identify the actors/actresses in any given show. Makes me wonder if ABS-CBN got almost all of the famous stars, because one time, when I was looking at some other channels for cable movies, I chanced upon GMA shows, and I went like,"Who are these people? Are they famous? Geez..no idea, really." Sorry about this but it seems like ABS pays much higher, so they get the more famous faces that we see in magazines, internet, and even those that are recognized abroad. They give better exposure, thereby making the station and their shows more popular.

for you ABS-CBN's talents are famous and GMA's talent are not familiar unto you just because of one reason. your only watching ABS-CBN network kumbaga your stagnant in that network... just an opinion......

i choose to watch the shows in abs because in my personal opinion artists in abs are better considering that they do have workshops for the artists for them to become good actors and actresses. with regards to their artist they don't focus only to 1 talent they try to reinvent the artists to showcase their talents. my favorite artists are all in abs so i stick with kapamilya. i don't have to compare the shows because lets face it sometimes the stories were almost the same but at the end of the day it's how the artists portrayed the role and how they deliver the lines only matters.
