For some work that I am doing I need to taslk about Wealth and Poverty from religious points of view. This is simple for me, as I am quite open minded to these sorts of things. But what I want to know is how you feel to wealth and poverty in TODAYS society. Do you think that the pop stars and footballers deserve all that money? It's only entertainment, but it is not as important as our doctors, firemen and dentists who don't recieve as much money as these famous people who only do a bit of acting and singing. Do you agree to poverty? Would you like to see people on the streets all the time or would you want to help them?
My opinion is this; the popstars don't need all that money. Others deserve it much more like doctors etc. We work hard for the little money that we may earn, whilst they just have to make us laugh or pull a few tricks. I don't want poverty to run anymore. If popstars were caring, they would donate to charities to help others. I know what it's like to have poverty as family members have gone through this sort of thing, and with the price recession, it isn't easy to keep up the bills and food either.
So what's your opinion?

these poverty and wealth talks are all superficial. the discussion only touches on the economic and matrial wealth and poverty. of course, some people are gifted and earned a lot compared to others, regardless of the sweat and time they put in. the imbalance of wealth among the people also shows the values that most of the people have. fame, popularity and good looks still rank high among the most valued traits and goal in life. happiness is there on top but it is very subjective to measure. i agree with you that some people deserve more than what they receive, and some people receive more than they deserve. examples of these are the politicians who earn from their position legally and illegally through bribes and graft. i think it is also important to highlight the other dimension of poverty and wealth.
