we live in a modern society now, high technoloy change the way people live entirely. At the begining of last centry, travelling aroung the world will take you almost a month. And you just need one day to do same thing. Internet, computer, supersonic airplane, cellphone, fax machine and so on make life and work more convienent than ever, which shorten the distance between. No wonder some people said, we live in the same village, earth village. But more and more people feel so tired because of the fast pace of modern society, which hasn't change at all. Maybe that's the point, what do you think?

Since the flow of time our technologies advance now with the modern world and all this technologies I guess it's a good thing because we get to meet people from around the world even at the comfort of our home through the internet. We can also see parts of the world and places we have never been to through the internet, television, cables, etc. We can communicate to people in far away places with the use also of the telephone, cellphone, etc. It is more convenient now than travelling...although I would still want to see places and meet people up close and personal. It's much better to see places and people there in front of you seeing, feeling, touching, taking souvenir pictures, talking and having dinner out. I think theres a plus and negative sides on all of this.

The modern society is very good when compared with ancient society. The technology is improved now a days but relationships is not much stronger in this modern society. Now a days technology is improved but peace is not there in this modern society. Village life very much better than the urban life. If we lived same village in life time it is not bored why because it is our own village. Pollution is increased now a days. It causes so many health problems. People is not that much healthy when compared to village dwellers. Some times when go to earn money more I feel relaxed to see this society. But when I found to peace and relations it is not good. Happy to share your views. Have a nice day. Happy myLotting.

It is very difficult to get relaxation in this new and fast world.Life is mechanical and we are becoming an instrument.Every where, there is tension only.Lot of people are loosing their jobs in the current economic crisis. We can see fear in every ones face about loosing their job.I think only technology cannot make us happier.

In modern generation, there is a lot of disturbances in both outside and inside the house. Obviously things like air pollutions, vehicle noises etc are irritating and not let most of them to be relaxed in road sides etc. Also the use of cell phones. Recently, it was discovered that the use of cell phone indirectly affects our heart. I guess the recent scientist have discovered that the cell phone signals and rays are not a very friendly sign to our body. Yep, obviously many peoples wouldn't be living a relaxed life in the current generation.

yeah, I hate the noise polution too, especially nap time at noon. as to cellphone radiation. There is no exact evidence shows that using cellphone could damage your health.

HI, my Chinese fellow. happy to respond your discussion. When living in modern society, things are updating so rapidly, you know. we confront with job seeking, opportunities in any fields, stress in the daily life. If we can not catch up with the pace of recent society, we will get lost in these changing flood. So, what i mean is that we do not fell relaxed here in modern times. However, All happiness is in the mind.

I think every things have both sides, we enjoy the convinent which the high technology bring to us ,at the same time, if you don't want to lost your job one day ,you must work harder than the other people , bear the fast pace of modern society. When we at home,we prefer spending more time on the internet, watching TV instead of having talk with our family. We need relax ourselves when we feel tired, change the way we do things, spend some time to communicate with our friend and family members.

technology has always been touted as a tool that would make our lives more convenient, more accessiable, and essentially, more liveable. However, I feel that technology is advancing at a pace at which man cannot keep up. every other day some new technology is developed, that renders recent technology obsolete. this makes for a very hectic life to have to keep up with technology in order to avoid being left behind.

I have a simple rule in life and that is to try and make everything I do enjoyable. When this is not possible then I will see if I can tolerate it. If I cannot then I will probably not do it. This saves me a lot of unwanted stress. We do have the choice. Cheers!!

I don't feel relaxed in modern society even if modern technological gadgets are helping us in carrying out our day-to-day activities because it yields us to move faster and faster that will make us a hard time in catching up with the fast pace. Even though it gives us a lot of advantages it also gives us disadvantages. We tend to be impatient when things are not done hastily because we want to make our work done in as INSTANT. We sometimes have the difficulty in working in a step-by-step pattern because we want it again to be INSTANT. That is how living in a modern society is making us. It made us impatient that will yield to a more stressful lifestyle.

well technology was given to us to make good use of it, but as the time goes by some people uses it for the wrong reasons, it also makes you feel lazy, makes you feel useless, deprive and lonely, there is now social networking instead of sitting and having a coffe with a friend because people just dont have the time. Now days there is not communication, no body language, we live in a world of puppets and mimes, all doing the same at the beat of technology. Now I sometime i just prefer that maybe I never moved here and I still lived in the same remote village I used to live when I was young, Eat the just harversted corn and the giagantic watermelons, sitting under the shadow of a tree and drinking hot chocolate in the winter while watching the 14" tv that grandad just bought for the farm and listening to granma telling her old stories when there was not light or tvs. Technology has had a big impact in society but as it grows I dont think there is much left of the old tactics that Im sure most of us miss dearly.

yeah, i believe a lot of people miss the old days. no internet, no cellphone ……high-tech shorten the physical distance among people, but enlarge the heart distaoce, cut the frequence of people communicate face to face
