Vitamins

Does any of you out there take vitamin supplements? if you do, do you just take a multi-vitamin or simething specific like zinc or iron? has it bee recommeded you take these by a doctor? please share

I don't take vitamins because i got fed up. Because I'm taking medicines since I was a kid and until now when I got sick! I'm not saying that vitamins are bad actually it's a very good supplement but in my case I got tired of taking any kinds of medicines including vitamins. Godspeed...

i would probably forget to take them some mornings if i started. sometimes i can be very forgetful. thanks for your response and happy mylotting

Hi lou, I prefer to eat fruits if I want vitamin.I don't want to depends on supplements because last time I read in an articles,it is not really good to take a lot of supplements because it will gradually make our body become dependant to that supplements.When it happens it will affects our health if we do not take it consistently.

Actually, it is only the sick that needs a doctor, i am not sick right now of diffeciency in vitamins but i do eat fruits everyday. Fruits like bananas, orange, apple etc. They are all good for my body. cheers!

I don't take any vitamins at the mo but have done in the past, espically in my late teens and early twenties. I used to kid myself that if I took a muti vit pill then I had my vitamins intake for the day and then it would mean I could eat what I wanted to eat for the rest of the day, ie rubbish food

as i have said, i am struggling to eat my 5-a-day so i was thinking that it might be an idea to start taking a multi-vitamin. not to replace fruit or veg but just to make sure i am getting what i need. thanks for your response and happy mylotting

I used to take multivitamins plus iron but to be honest these days I try to get everything from my diet and make sure I eat a variety of healthy foods. I was never recommended supplements from a doctor and have never been deficient in anything

My vitamin habit is off and on, but when I'm taking them, i stick with Centrum Performance. It's a multi that has extra B vitamins for energy. I also added Omega-3 and Magnesium supplements to that. When I am sick or feel like I'm getting sick, I take Echinacea. I highly recommend that.
