I will remember George W. Bush as a Strong leader in very difficult times more than anything. Whether it be from the 911 attacks,to the afgan war,the unpopular iraq war,or maybe you will remember him more for the current recession towards the end of his presidency. What do you remember him most for? Please I don't want a debate started but instead what you will remember him most for.

I will remember him for his terrible dismissal of human rights. And for how much he made everyone laugh. :)

So what you'll remember is a press inspired lie? Sad.

The fact of the matter is that Gore had the popular vote and Bush had the electoral vote. That is not stealing the election, it is a result of the electoral college system.

That he had some great accomplishments and made some terrible mistakes... like all other presidents.
Also that he did what he thought was best for the country, even in the face of complete lies about him in the press and lemmings willing to accept any bit of filth spewed on them by the incompetent press.
The pig swill in the press can rot for the lies and propaganda they spat out upon us all. They were the best asset Al Qaeda could have hoped for.

George W Bush has been a controversial president of the USA. Many pople dismiss him as cranky many as the man who sought to dominate the world, but he is really going to be the man who sought to achieve more than he was capable of. I think he has seen to it that the American influence in the world declines specially after the way the economy has shaped out. obama has a daunting task ahead. power lies with the nation which has economic strength. new power equations will now develop and emerge. The economic power will shift to Asia.

The guy I wouldn't have voted for ever, that turned out to be the best president we have ever had. Despite the attempts to tear the country apart by certain groups of people, he managed to hold the country together, and does it without recognition, or aknowledgement, taking the blame for the faults of others.

I will remember him for his actions after, and how he brought down Sadam Hussain and how he was able to stand against those who hated him. I will not remember him for the recession. He did not cause it, those who wanted loans given to those who could not afford them on basis of race, those who wanted food crops taken out and replaced by ethanol did, those who refused to allow oil drilling in the states, did.

So, since Obama pushed for the racist loan policies, you're saying he's one of the foolish ones?

I meant to say "after 911 and how he made sure that there would be no terrorist attack in the States during his office."

No one person could have caused the recession. I know peoples payments on their homes did double due to a very slim chance of their intrest rates going up on the home they had. Also giving loans to people based on their race is no excuse if they cannot afford them and is foolish. I have not heard of that but no wonder theirs foreclosures if that happened. Ethanol comes from corn and is already a food, but ethanol gets less miles per gallon than gas. All the gas people get now of days is 10% ethanol so your getting less mpg plus higher gas prices. Yeah, we need more of our own oil instead paying to get too much of it from other countries, but it may still be cheaper doing so anyway because of other countries prices and the possibility that they pay their workers cheaper to drill oil.

I'll remember "Mission Accomplished" aboard that aircraft carrier, him saying he couldn't think of any mistakes he'd made and "Heckuva job Brownie" during Katrina. I guess it can be summed up in one word - I'll remember his INCOMPETENCE.

That did not look good at all when it said "Mission Accomplished". There was not no Accomplishment yet. The war was just getting started. Oh yeah and Katrina and the gamble he took on not thinking the levis would break was just wishful thinking.
Being U.S. President is the most stressful job in the world though and your constantly judged from people even though as a human and the world it self is not perfect.

That he had the confidence and courage to take action when it was necessary - action that should have been taken by previous presidents before!

Hi elmiko,
George W. Bush, the first thing that comes to my mind is 9/11, Afgan, and Iraq war. Well! we can even say him as a president unsuccessfull over terrorism, he has taken steps for making it under control, but that didn't work yet.
Cheers and regards,
forcashksd
Happy mylotting ;)
