The Philippine government recently called for transparency over the proceedings of the move to change or amend its constitution. The Philippine constitution was ratified on the year 1987 and the present government suggests that it should be amended now, I think, to attune to the demands of this generation.

But, is it true charter change is one of President Arroyo's plot to remain in position? I believe, the call for transparency only imply positivity towards the amendment. They think of plots to make the cha-cha smell nice, but still, I believe it stinks.

We have amended our Constitution several times since the Marcos's but we haven't solved our problems. In fact, we are facing more complicated problems now. I think, charter change will never be the answer or solution to our problems. The problem lies in all of us, our being Filipinos - our way of life.
And what for? To attune to the demands of this generation? Generation of what? Personally, it doesn't appeal to me.

Indeed, chacha is not the answer.
For there is nothing wrong with the law but on
how it is interpreted and implemented.
And on our being Filipinos, it is not on the general wrong
but it's just the majority of the officials are
incapable and worst, corrupt.
