Flat vs House

after living in a 3 bedroom house most of my life, i was a bit upset when i was told we were moving into a flat. but now we have moved into the flat i love. it is like a little hide away from the rest of the world. which would you prefer, a flat or a house? please share

I always prefer to stay in a house, where I have my own yard, so that I can plant something and keep my dog there. Also, I don't need to always take the lift whenever I want to go back to my house or go out. One thing I like about flat is that, there are many facilities included, such as shops, gym, swimming pool, etc. Of course, there is security guard too.

my flat is different. it is not part of a complex with facilities as you describe. it is above a shop which is in the main street of my town. so i am close to the shops. thanks for responding and happy mylotting

We lived in a flat when we only had one child, when we had two children we moved into a house, I like the house better as we have a garden and it is so much better for the children to have the garden and to have there own bedrooms

that is one thing i miss. when i lived in the house we had a front and back garden. but i suppose i dont need to cut the grass any more. thats one way to look at it lol. thanks for your response

I have lived in a flat for a year or so and didnt like it at all and if I can help it I hope I never have to live in one again. The reason is I like my space and privacy. I like having yard and space make as much noise as I want and all that.

yeah i can see your point. but our flat is above a shop and we have no neighbours on either side. the shop closes at 3:30 pm. we can make as much noise as we want! thanks for your response
