Complainers. All of em....

Well, not really but I do have a few people on my friends list (and I've seen a few other discussions by non-friends)...All they do is complain about the things other mylotters are doing wrong. It's kind of annoying. I don't mind people pointing out things that are done wrong here but stop the whining about it. Atleast come up with something else to start a discussion about once in a while. Do you have friends that do nothing but complain about other people? here or offline?

Yes. Some people just complain about everything. It can be quite annoying. We have a guy at work like this. Everyone avoids him. The bosses hate telling him anything because they know he will find something wrong with anything.
As far as the people who complain about everything on mylot, I think it is kind of funny. This site, or any site for that matter, shouldn't be taken too seriously. It doesn't take too long on this site to see what the main complaints are.
Some of us are here just to get a few laughs or break up the monotony of our every day lives. Some of us are here for the friends we have made on the site. Many of us are here just to make a few bucks.
People are going to steal your discussions. We have all seen it happen. Some people on here don't speak very good english. Heck a lot of the time I can't even understand what they're talking about.
My favorite is the people who will rate you poorly just because they don't agree with what you are saying. I am sure we've all experienced that too.
I really don't think any of these things are going to change. Really it doesn't bother me any way. These things are rather trivial. Most of the things we complain about are trivial. But I guess it gives us something to say.

I guess you're right. I should just stop being one of them and look at things more like you do. Thanks for opening my eyes.

Maybe not a complainer, maybe something else.......a b*tch maybe, but I try not to show that side of me to mylotters.

Eh? I don't think you're a complainer. I don't know you well enough to say either way but I haven't had that impression of you.

I have a girlfriend that tells me all of her problems every time we talk. But if I try to tell her even about a simple story not even something bad she cuts me off and says something like save that story and you can tell me all about it when we get together next time. Then whenever we have something booked to go out for lunch or meet for a coffee she cancels. Then the next time she will call up again telling me all of her woes all over again. This has happened for a couple of years now. It is like clock work with this girl. I haven't seen her in about 3 to 4 months. But we have arranged to meet about 6 to 8 times. Every time she either calls to cancel or when I call her to confirm she will not answer the phone. I am kinda fed up now. But we are supposedly BEST FRIENDS!! LOL
You know the old saying with friends like that...........????

I don't really care about the myLot members starting discussions to complain. The discussions that don't interest me are deleted from my inbox and I pass to the next discussion.
As of doing something, I am really proud of what I've done recently: I've taken some time to respond milestone discussions, that are against the guidelines. But not to criticize the member who started it. Instead, I've told them what they are doing wrong, gave them the link to the guidelines, and explained how they are harming the site. I think it's the only useful thing to do. Simply reporting the discussions won't serve to anything. The starters won't know why the discussion was deleted and make the same mistake again.

Good point. We should point out these things to the violaters first. I do have someone on my list that started a few about their discussions being deleted and not knowing why. By the time I got to trying to respond, that one was deleted also. I don't know why they were deleted, I don't think they even found out why.

I try to avoid the complainers on mylot if I can. If it is someone who rarely complains, I'll read the entire discussion and maybe comment. If they are all the time at it though, I skip and ignore. I can't stand constant complaining. Which is what you're talking about. It seems like in life, out in the world, people who complain don't seem to have friends stick around very long.

The world is full of complainers on and offline.
Now you're complaining about those who complain?
See what I mean?

I did have one friend on here who tried to tell me what I should do with my discussions. Basically trying to tell me what to do and I told him I was comfortable with the way I am doing it now.

That's just plain rude. I wouldn't tell someone how to conduct themselves with their own ideas and opinions. I just say what I wish in general but not directly to the person. If they know it's about them, owell. I'm just giving my opinion.

Mine are too but there are a couple that like to complain. I don't mind it too much but I wish sometimes they would post something other then complaints. When they respond to discussions they don't complain and are very nice.
