do love can change a person?

i recently read in a article that love can even change a poor man to be the richest in the world and same love can make a wise into mad, till now i realise from sorrounding love has power only to develope ones mind and life, but not have idea about second one, do any have suggestion in this?

love can not change us. the best thing love can do is set us free. we must then change ourselves.

it changes a person most of the times.i have seen for the other partner, the person tries to change him/her. but it is not the case always also as some partners accept the other one the way they are.
